I visit this gallery whenever I'm in the area. It's a collective gallery with a dozen or so artists, and the works change frequently. What I like about the gallery is its unpretentiousness -- you never feel out of place or afraid to ask a price. Instead of some galleries that feature a single artist with giant and pricey paintings, this one has smaller works, at reasonable prices and with lots of variety -- local landscapes, still life, figures, animal portraits, etc. Most of the artists paint in the plein air tradition, capturing light and atmosphere while painting on location. Others paint in the more classic Boston Tradition. Sign up for their email list, and get invited to their openings. You'll get a chance to meet the artists in a warm and friendly environment over some wine and hors d'oeuvres! Drop in just to appreciate good art, or purchase a piece you will love.
