“perfect for a summer evening”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

There is nothing finer than sitting in Jack Tar's outdoor garden area having a delicious salad or, better yet, if you can get there before 7 p.m., an incredibly delicious pizza for $5.00! Yes, for $5,00. Try the pizza with chicken. It is more than one person could eat. but it iff you sit there long enough and enjoy the beauty of a warm summer evening, then you just might be able to do exactly that.

And when you are through walk about 25 feet to Coffey's ice cream shop and let Sheila Coffey prepare you a scrumptious peanut butter chocolate yogurt ice cream cone that you can eat as you walk another 50 feet to Marblehead Harbor. I cannot think of a better way to spend a summer evening. .

Really happy buzz, loud-ish place, try the lobster mac and cheese - amazing! I think it had a whole lobster in there!

I eat here once a week and would go nowhere else. Have done so for years. Long time resident of the town and this is my choice for best in Marblehead

“Our favorite!”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Excellent food, drinks and service, reasonable prices, our "go-to" restaurant as often as we can. $5 pizza night is great for a quick, inexpensive dinner out and everything else on the menu has been 5-star! Reservation strongly suggested, especially on weekends.

“Never, ever disappointed.”
Reviewed 4 March 2014 via mobile

Food is always delicious. Service is great. Staff is friendly. Owner is wonderful. The atmosphere is fine but could be improved. It's not an issue because the experience is always good. I go about once a week, sometimes with my three kids, sometimes with my husband or my friends.
