This is cute inn, rooms are nice , people are friendly. Beautiful pool in a very nice yard.
Very cute!
But if you have any disabilities this is not the place for you.
Old stairways, no handicap parking. There are two spaces that could be used for ADA but somehow they are reserved for a manager and someone else. Don't know how they get away with it.
Breakfast included and nice
It's air conditioned sort of depends on which room you get.

We do owe you a big apology! You unfortunately got misinformation by one of our new employees regarding handicapped parking. The parking spot by our back entrance marked "Reserved" is for unloading luggage and for handicapped parking when needed. We do try to cater to everyone's needs and particularly people who need help due to disabilities, age, or the like.
All of our rooms are air conditioned, some individual units and just a few on our central system.
The next time you visit us we will make sure your spot is reserved and you book a room with your own unit.
Once again I apologize!

Really well managed inn in the center of historic Marblehead. Warm, knowledgeable staff. Tiny tavern, tiny swimming pool, thoughtful room details. A quiet oasis surprisingly close to Boston and Logan Airport

Having a (very) rare whole week away with my husband and no kids, my husband researched thoroughly and found this gem of a town and hotel. We had a top floor room with beams and views down the quaint main street. Breakfast was delicious, and even though we had to miss one due to an early start for whale watching, we were offered coffee before we left. A delightful and charming in with attentive staff and excellent customer service. My husband is a keen sailor and has promised we will go back one year for the Marblehead to Halifax yacht race. I won't object!

Travelling to Boston is a treat and one does not think of going beyond the immediate neighberhood such as Cambridge, Brookline, or Newton. But this traveller recommends that one should take at least one day off to head to Marbelhead. It is glorious New England town (hamlet). With the very highesr recommendation spend the night at Harbour Light Inn. The Inn is charming and the folks that run it are highly skilled and pleasant.
ENJOY.

Room Tip: Call ahead and ask advise of the staff.

Our room is delightful with fireplace for winter and is beautifully appointed. It also has wi-fi for our business needs. The staff are all friendly and willing to help with any question. They have a restaurant which is one-half block down from the Inn. They also have a bar inside the inn. Provided during the day are a variety of breakfast options, pitchers of iced tea in the afternoon along with irresistible treats for the sweet tooth. I am very pleased with our stay here which is convenient to Salem, Gloucester and Boston, Mass!

Room Tip: Make certain to look at photographs, so you will know what accommodations you need.

We go to Marblehead every year, but this was our first time at the Harbor Light Inn. It won't be our last! Our room was amazing - beautiful ceiling with wood beams and a private deck for sunning during the day and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The staff was welcoming and helpful. It would be impossible to pick a better location - we parked our car and walked everywhere we wanted to go. Lounging poolside is a great way to spend an afternoon, especially with the tasty refreshments that were constantly replenished - iced tea, arnold palmers, homemade cookies! Our favorite part may have been the cozy bar. Only seats about 6 but has a nice wine list and is a great place to meet colorful bartenders, other guests and Marblehead locals.

Room Tip: Rooms 4 and 34 have private balconies. Room 7 has a balcony but it's right at pool level.

What an amazing weekend we had! This was my husband and my first trip to Marblehead and only happened to stumble upon it by accident. We booked this stay at the last minute and being the 4th of July weekend, we were blessed to find there was one vacancy left. This was a very special weekend in historic Marblehead with lots going on including an Arts Festival which I adore! The accommodations were positively charming and our room was impeccable! It was so clean and bright and plenty spacious. We even had a whirlpool tub which fit 2 people with plenty of room to spare! The hot breakfast was one of the best we've had which included plenty of choices including savory quiche, sausage, homemade french toast, assorted pastries, yogurts, cereal, fresh fruit...etc... An afternoon snack is set out for the guests to enjoy as well along with some ice cold freshly brewed iced tea which my husband enjoyed out by the sparking swimming pool. Although my husband and I don't drink, for those of you who enjoy a cocktail or two, there is a quaint lounge with a bar that opens early evening and offers a light fare of appetizers. The staff was courteous and friendly and provided a wealth of information on the activities happening around the town. The Inn is so conveniently located in the heart of Marblehead Neck that everything was within walking distance including restaurants and beaches. We parked our car for the weekend and left the keys in our room. We have fallen in love with this quaint little town and had the most fabulous time! We will definitely be returning to the Harbor Light Inn and highly recommend it to everyone!
