Power went out and they had no plan of action. The stairwells and hallways were a safety hazard and dark. They had one snow shovel for the entire premises and no snow blower. They brought in no food and no extra blankets as they told everybody to stay the night because power was coming back. They just wanted to keep the money and they bought 2 flashlights for the front desk personnel only. Losing electricity was an act of god but every moment after they lost power was management being cheap or running away from helping. We had to call the police at night to get into the rooms because the keys to the room had deactivated and only management could get you in. Finally found the person sleeping in the room behind the desk and they were upset they had to get up to help everyone.

Terrible place

I spent the one night here. The front desk check-in employee was very helpful. The hotel is located conveniently to a large mall and restaurants. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is easy access to the highway and the rooms are large. The room with a king sized bed, desk, ottoman, and hideabed was large. There were many outlets, a microwave and tv. It also stunk. Literally stunk of stale cigarettes, stale marijuana, and feet. The carpets need to be replaced in order to get the smell out, and then need to be shampooed regularly. Additionally in one of our friend's room there were two bottle of alcohol in the mini-fridge freezer. That should be checked when the room is cleaned. Not a place I would stay again.

I stood at this hotel because it was pet friendly and I had points for 2 free nights. It was nothing special. The lobby and breakfast area were small but in decent shape. To the right of the entrance, there was a small fenced area with two aged picnic tables and dead flowers. This could use some upkeeping. It was a convenient location, close to a mall and chain restaurants. Thin walls, I could hear the neighbors next door and above us. The hotel and my room reeked of smoke although I had requested a non-smoking room. I probably would not stay here again even for free.

Room Tip: There is no elevator so request a first floor room if stairs are a problem.

Had a wonderful stay at Quality Inn in Marlborough. Was in town for my great Uncle's 100th birthday, and the location was very convenient. The rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was nice and the hotel staff welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Room Tip: No elevators so if unable to take stairs may need to request 1st floor
