“Great location, if seated outdoors, but standard fare”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

Locals praise the bay-side location but warn of the heavy tourist trade - and they are correct! The lobster rolls were said to be "good" but less so than bought at local places in Connecticut. We had a party of 6 for lunch, did not drink much and had a tab over $200 sans tip - perhaps indicative of seafood in general. The indoor seating is less desirable, very casual and somewhat worn, yet still noisy due to the crowds that descend in summer. You should be able to do much better in downtown Newburyport, a few blocks distant.

“Real Harborside Dining”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

For a wonderful summer experience sit outside on one of the decks. The fish is fresh and you can mix and match how it is prepared. The pesto and citrus are two of my favorites! You cannot go wrong here!

“Great view, so-so food”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

This place could and should be so much better. If you're there to sit on the deck after work to watch the boats go by with a beer, you've found your place.

If you can't get a seat outside and/or if you're there for food, you'll be disappointed. The interior is dark--looking and smelling like one of the old seafood restaurants I went to as a kid. The food is equally disappointing with none of it done very well.

This place has so much potential, but needs some changes to merit a return visit.

“Great views”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

I enjoy sitting on the deck for some great views and a few drinks. However, I will never eat here again. After a couple sub par meals, I got a view of the kitchen while leaving one night. I won't eat there again...leave it at that.

“Ruined lobster pie”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Love coming for traditional lobster and clam dinners when I visit here. Lobster pie is usually lobster meat covered with a buttery cracker crumb topping. Maybe a little sherry. They added cream sauce which wasn't bad, but ruined the whole thing with pieces of green bell pepper and red bell pepper, which gave me horrible indigestion before I realized what it was. I thought it was parsley and pimento. Nothing like that belongs in a lobster pie anyway!!. The other meals were good. They also pour a good drink.
