My daughter and I spent two lovely nights at the Blackinton Manor. As others have mentioned, the home itself is absolutely beautiful. High ceilings, great art, and large windows which showcase the property. Although it is close to the road you feel very secluded. The room was immaculate and quiet, the bed was very comfortable, as was the day bed in the adjoining room. Breakfast was great. I'm not sure what another reviewer is talking about there not being hot breakfasts. We had eggs one morning, french toast the next. There is a formal air here, but I quite like it. The owners are not in your face, but always there if you need help or advice. We went to check out Mass MoCA and to visit friends in Williamstown. North Adams is definitely a depressed city--quite bleak in many places. That said, this B&B is located right near Williamstown, and as mentioned, once you are on the property you feel like you are someplace else entirely. Tranquil and beautiful. Don't hesitate to stay here is you need great lodging in the area.
