“Highlight of Cape Cod”
Reviewed 22 April 2013

We drove to the tip of Cape Cod on a Friday night and were worried we would not find a place to stay. We were low on cash so we looked for somewhere reasonably priced and found Horizon. We requested one of the cheaper off beach rooms but the owner said he had some issues with lighting over there so could only offer us a room on the beach. He gave it to us the lower price which was a generous gesture. The views from our spacious and very clean room were breathtaking to say the least I imagine that this place gets very busy in the summer season and it deserves to. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Get a room on the beach. It's worth paying extra for.

To Tom, Nancy, Rick, Jim, Poppie, Chris and the entire staff, a heartfelt THANK YOU for always making things the best - clean, comfortable, and fun. Always puts a big smile on my face when I see everyone at checking in and in the morning. Couldn't ask for a better place.

Has it all - pool, beach, just close enough to town, quiet, and always great people in the rooms around us when we go. We have had many friends enjoy stays here upon our recommendation.

Just what the doctor ordered for a great de-stress.

Room Tip: They are ALL actually good! Great views and comfort at the Terrace Dunes, and if you can, treat your...

We stay at Horizon's several times a year because of the excellent value, great location, and appreciate the friendly staff who care about your experience there. We've been going there for more than 10 years and the experience has always been great. Can't wait to go back soon.

Truro is just minutes away from the most spectacular, pristine Atlantic beaches in the world such as Longnook, Ballston, and several others. The Horizon Resort isn't really a full resort in that they do not have a restaurant or spa. But they offer the perfect home base to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of this area, and (by taking the shuttle, which stops right outside your door) you can be in the otherworldly Provincetown in just a few minutes. Excellent food, terrific shopping, and unforgettable sights await you there too.

Tom and his staff keep everything easy, neat and clean. The linens are not thin or stingy by any stretch, and they are amazingly clean as are the rooms. Never a hint of mildew, which is quite an accomplishment on Cape Cod. I might mention that at many (or most) rentals in this area you must provide your own linens. At the Horizon, everything is provided including the dish soap. In addition, the bedspread is cleaned fresh and delivered in plastic before each guest's stay!

The rooms are modern and comfortable. Everything works always. At the Terrace Dunes, where we stay, each room has its own kitchen, complete with dishes and cooking utensils. (Pots, pans, baking sheet can opener blender, etc. Wonderful!

The staff is very helpful and polite when you need them, and invisible the rest of the time. An example: My wife and I were waiting for the shuttle to P-town one morning. Tom (the manager) who was not on duty at the time, came out to tell us that it would not arrive for another 40 minutes. Attentive, and thoughtful!

There is a very nice looking pool which we have never used, and a beautiful, private stretch of Cape Cod Bay beach available to all guests. Bring your own beach chairs.

The Horizon is filled with repeat customers, so each day has a family reunion feel to it. We just completed our 4th vacation at the Horizon, and we will be back next year for number 5.

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Reserve months in advance for July or August.

Horizons is a great place to stay with a great location. The beach and pool are perfectly located. We have been staying here for a few years now and other then staying right in P town this is the best place to stay. The transit buss picks you up right in front and runs at :05 and :35 on the hour. The room rates are always reasonable and the front office staff is very helpful. I highly recommend Horizons Beach Resort.

I have been to the Horizons Beach Resort 2 years in a row and plan to keep going back every Memorial Day weekend. The rates are reasonable, the staff is super friendly and the rooms are clean! It is just outside of Ptown and the shuttle to Ptown is directly across the street from the office. We left our car parked for the entire weekend and utilized the shuttle since the ride into town is SO quick.

My first time up (2011) my friends and I stayed in one of the 2 bedroom units. It was perfectly sized for the 4 of us. There was a little yard with picnic table in the back and a patio with table in the front. The staff allowed us to use our bbq. We just weren't allowed to use it on the actual deck, which was fine.

This year my girfriend and I stayed in one of the shorefront apartments. Our friends were in the unit right next to us. This unit is smaller, but perfect for 2 - 4 people. We had a super comfy king size bed and there was also a sleeper sofa that my cousin used. We opened our curtains and saw the beach. When we opened our door, we heard the waves. There was a nice table in the kitchen to enjoy our meals.

The units are all fully loaded with pots, pans, coffee maker, stove, fridge, utensils, etc. All you have to bring is food and drinks. Towels are also provided, but they are small. You should probably bring your own beach towel if you plan to use the pool or go swimming in the ocean. The units are not provided with shampoo, conditioner or body wash so you should pack your own, which I always do anyway.

This is a great place to stay!

First time to Truro and was NOT disappointed with Horizons. The rooms are so clean, def have been refreshed in the last 2 years or so. We were on the 2nd floor, overlooking the Bay (#16).

We had 2 full beds (slightly firm), full kitchen (no oven, stove top), kitchen, and couch. The views are amazing.

The pool is so clean and plenty of chairs. You can see the ocean from the pool. Its amazing.

The only thing I wish was different, would be that someone cleans the seaweed off the beach on a daily basis. Not the resorts fault..just my 1 thing.

There is a shuttle out front every 30mins for $2. We drove, and Ptown was about 5-10mins away. Very close.

Horizons is truly the BEST deal in the area. The rooms, the beach, the pool, and proximity to P town cant be beat.

We grilled on the beach (our own grill), we had a fire on the beach (in the grill), and already booked our NEXT trip.

Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Overlooking the bay
