“Spring Bulb Show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 March 2013

A Horticulture trip from the Simsbury Garden Club made this a stop on a brusk March morning. Parking was conveniently close by. We were extremely impressed with the variety, color and scope of the two rooms filled with cheery bulbs, clustered in pots of all sizes. Some were arranged by hues of sunset pinks, fiery oranges and sunny yellows. Another presentation included cool blues and tones of purple and pinks. The second room was a floral interpretation of a Byzantine style artist, including the placement of large palm trees, gazing balls, pillars and mirrors. A spectacular display! The adjoining greenhouses provide hours of interesting examples of plant and flower material from around the world, maintained by the Horticulture students over scores of years. The bulbs are for sale after the show. Check out the College's website for info. Support this program with a goodwill donation.
We had also attended last years' Fall Chrysanthemum Show, just as phenomenal.

“inspiring gardens and museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2012

My favorite spots on the Smith campus are the botanical garden and the art museum, both tranquil and inspiring. These spots never seem crowded, and visitors are most welcome. The little shop in the museum has creative gifts at reasonable prices.

“Went to see it on a college trip.”

The campus is so totally beautiful. We took the tour and the staff was endearing and helpful. Nice down home staff and students. I felt a nice balance between the traditional and a need to meet the modern world. Nice going Smith.

“Great fall weekend on campus”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2012

Beautiful campus. Really nice student center. Loved all the computers on campus! We where there for a field hockey game. Nice turf field! The fans however had to traverse a hill where there is only limited bleacher seating. It makes it very difficult or impossible for some elderly to get to the prime viewing spots. If those elderly are accompanied by others, then all concerned are regulated to viewing the game at field level. hope this gets fixed.

“Campus Center Winner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2012

The cafeteria at the Smith College Campus Center has amazingly good food. Most of the hot items are cooked to order. best hot dog and fries in the area. Excellent salads, sandwiches, and many other choices in a light, airy and energetic setting right at the center of the campus.
