A Horticulture trip from the Simsbury Garden Club made this a stop on a brusk March morning. Parking was conveniently close by. We were extremely impressed with the variety, color and scope of the two rooms filled with cheery bulbs, clustered in pots of all sizes. Some were arranged by hues of sunset pinks, fiery oranges and sunny yellows. Another presentation included cool blues and tones of purple and pinks. The second room was a floral interpretation of a Byzantine style artist, including the placement of large palm trees, gazing balls, pillars and mirrors. A spectacular display! The adjoining greenhouses provide hours of interesting examples of plant and flower material from around the world, maintained by the Horticulture students over scores of years. The bulbs are for sale after the show. Check out the College's website for info. Support this program with a goodwill donation.
We had also attended last years' Fall Chrysanthemum Show, just as phenomenal.
