“COMPLETELY AWESOME!”
Reviewed 11 July 2012

We just celebrated our Anniversary at the Dockside over the 4th of July. The renovated boutique style hotel is amazing. It's like being in the Back Bay of Boston but on the Vineyard. John (owner), Tiffany (General Mgr.), Kat, Cathy and Nate of and of course Maja!! all fabulous hotel staff. We were lucky enough to enjoy a ride to Edgartown in the 1956 Rolls Royce which was quite an experience. We stayed in Room 5 which is on the first floor. The room is rather small in size but completely adequate for a 2 day stay when you don't spend a whole lot of time in it anyway. The "Beach Gear" room is a nice bonus, full of coolers, chairs, umbrellas, sunblock, kiddie toys, etc. We will be returning in August with the Family and staying in one of the larger suites - can't wait. Thanks again to everyone at The Dockside for a great vacation. See you soon

We just stayed at the Dockside in for an extended weeked trip to celebrate a 30th aniversary, the trip was incredible for our first visit of what we hope will be many more. From the first inquiry on the phone from both Tiffiany and Cathy giving real honest information about the dockside and what we could expect. I also sent a package of gifts and decorations (pre-arival) to suprise wife with, both John(owner) and Tiffinay (manager) decorated the room
INCREDIBLY and made us feel very welcome and guided us through the weekend with great advise to make our visit just perfect and yes we also got the ride in the rolls while John filled us with info of life on Marthas Vinyard. Location...Location...Location
right in heart of town, walk to everything in Oak Bluffs, rooms were well decorated, CLEAN,
and comfortable. THE DOCKSIDE INN DOES OAK BLUFFS PERFECTLY!!!! all we expected.

The on-line reservation process was easy and a confirmation was sent to me immediately. The Inn was a 1 minute walk from the ferry. Clean, friendly, safe, upscale! We were given coolers with ice, beach towels and chairs, snacks, water and use of the facility before and check out time, including storage of our luggage. We'll be back, SOON!

Room Tip: Book early!

The staff was very helpful in making our visit to MV very pleasurable. It was my first time to the island and I had a great time. This is the place to stay. They provide all the amenities you would need for a day at the beach or if u want to ride around on bikes or just hangout at the Inn relaxing in the jacuzzi.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here last month and were pleasantly surprised. The Inn has been recently updated with a modern feel yet not showy. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It was a short walk from the ferry and close to all shopping and restaurants. There are beach "things" to use so we didn't have to lug it on the ferry with us. It was a great mini vacation and would recommend this to all friends and family. In fact we are going out again next month with family and can't wait!!

Room Tip: Our room was just big enough for 2. We did wish to have a better view. Our room was 26.

My college-age daughter and I decided to go on a mini-adventure and stayed at the Dockside Inn. From the moment we walked through the doors we felt welcomed. The recently renovated room was clean and spacious. It had an air conditioner (that worked), a private bathroom w/shower, a mini refrigerator and good size TV. We really liked the location and enjoyed the view of the water from the deck. The breakfast room was lovely and my daughter was thrilled there was a Keurig machine. We look forward to returning to the Dockside Inn soon!

My husband and I came to visit with our 9 month old son for the 4th of July. The accommodation were beautiful and we were right in the center of town. What made this place so special was the service we received from the owner John, himself. He treated us like royalty from the second we arrived until the time that we left------no wonder why he received the govenors award of nicest guy in town ( lol)! He helped us with our luggage, recommended the best places in town and even drove us in the hotels courtesty ROLLS ROYCE to an amazing resteraunt (the atlantic) in edgartown. A special thanks to Cathy Anderson too for being so kind to us and extra sweet to our son. The renovations to the hotel make this hotel feel luxureous yet the price was still reasonable. We can't wait to be back next year!
