From the moment our multi-room family group arrived for the week-end, we had a great stay. Kathy gave us a warm, friendly welcome and couldn't have been more helpful showing us around, making sure we had everything we needed each time she saw us, and passing along tips to ensure our visit to Martha's Vineyard went well. The Dockside Inn is clean and comfortable and close to everything, including the beautiful harbor right outside our windows. They do a lot of little things very well.

Room Tip: For best harbor views, ask about 2d floor, front.

Just left our stay here and this place is simply lovely. In our late 20's looking for a place that's not crazy expensive,in town, bed and breakfast feel with hotel amenities and this place hits it on the nail. The cleanliness, service and added extras such as the cute little "coffee" room helps you to feel at home and welcome. Not to mention a beach gear room supplying chairs, towels, coolers etc. they pretty much know what ppl want when staying on vacation i don't think we said once "you know what this place needs?" bc they got it. It is a walk from the beach, shopping restaurants and beautiful views. I didn't want to leave, but when I come back I know where I'm staying! I will def be recommending it for anyone heading out to MV! Thanks Dockside Inn!!

We stayed on Martha's Vineyard for two days in May. From the minute we checked in the entire staff was friendly, showed us around and told us the best places to check out! The bed and breakfast felt like an upscale hotel with all he renovations! We have traveled all over the world and my husband even commented it was one of his favorite rooms! The room was stunning and VERY clean. We had a great room overlooking the harbor! The location was perfect, we were right in the middle of everything and could walk easily anywhere! We will be returning next year with our family and will make sure to make reservations at least a year in advance!! Couldn't have been happier with our decision!!

We'd like to thank this reviewer for their comments. Our harborview rooms are especially popular and afford terrific views of Oak Bluffs Harbor. Our in-town location is a prime reason we enjoy so many repeat customers, and as always, our staff strives to have you 'feelin' like a local' as soon as possible.

Moving up from sunny south Florida to MV for the season was not very fun when greeted with no hot water or heat and ants large enough to take over the island. Needless to say, our summer house was not ready and we were in a bind, with no place to stay and all other local inn's closed. We came across Dockside Inn, called and were pleasantly greeted by Kathy. She literally changed our trip for the better and saved us 5 cranky girls! She agreed to stay open late for us, had fresh cookies waiting and hurried us to the closest liquor store before it closed so we could get a bottle of wine (as she could see was MUCH needed)! One night turned into 4 and we couldn't have been more thankful. The rooms were immaculate, the place was quiet, beds were comfy and there was even a SNACK ROOM filled with complimentary snacks, water and coffee. It was like Disney!! The place would not be complete without Kathy and Russell, who brought ALL 5 girls suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, so make sure you pay them a visit. I can't wait to visit the Dockside this summer to just say hi...and hopefully have a little staycation! :)

I have always wanted to go to Martha's Vineyard. What better time to visit than for our 13th year anniversary. We were reconmended the town of Oak Bluffs and the Dockside Inn for our hotel. We loved it! From the first day we walked into the lobby. Decorated so beutiful and greated by Lianne who told us and showed us everything we needed to know about our stay. Everyone was extremely helpful, friendly and very welcoming. Our room (#23) had a nice habour view. The room was just the right size for us with everything we needed. Very, very clean and confortable. The hotel's location was great. Close to the bus stops. Walking distance to everywhere...little shops, restaurants even the Gingerbread Cottages. We met the owner on our last day. We had mentioned how much we enjoyed it at the Inn and we planned on going back with the kids. To our surprise we got an email...thanking us for our stay and hoping to see us again soon...with the kidos. Now that is personal and friendly. We will go back...and we will stay at the Dockside inn. We LOVED it!!!!!

We are thankful that this reviewer noted Lianne's superlative customer service; she is a truly special employee and goes out of her way to make every guest feel welcome. Clean comfortable rooms, Oak Bluffs harbor views, in-town location, close to everything; that's pretty much what we're all about at the Dockside Inn. We're glad you noticed; thanks!

Stayed here for one night in April 2013 with my boyfriend, and despite the island being almost completely shut down (out of season) we had a great time. The B&B is in the perfect location, we had a great room overlooking the dock and we were very warmly welcomed. We were recommended cycle routes and excellent value cycle hire (right next to the inn!) as well as recommendations for dinner (definitely visit the Chowder Co. nearby, amazing cocktails and food and great staff). The room was roomy, clean and nicely furnished, with a lovely covered balcony area outside. We loved the complimentary coffee/ice cream/snacks (especially the home baked cookies!) but you will need to get down to the kitchen area early in the morning to get pastries as we were beaten to it by another family staying at the inn (and there weren't enough to go round). Thanks again for making our stay so welcoming, excellent value for money.

The Dockside is in a great location on MV - right near the ferry in Oak Bluffs, in the midst of everything. Lianne at the front desk was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions, giving advice, and even having glasses of champagne ready for us when we checked in. The rooms are well-updated. They each have a fridge so you can bring leftovers home - major plus! The Dockside has an outdoor hot tub, a room with beach supplies (chairs, towels, coolers, etc.), and a snack/breakfast room with great foods, drinks, and ice cream. The hotel has six parking spots, but there are four-hour spots nearby as well if those spots are used up (you likely don't need a car while you are there anyway, since everything is so easily accessible). Thanks for a great stay!
