“Sweet”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

Frank and Kathleen were wonderful hosts and engaging in great conversation. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of sweets and fruits. The room was comfortable and accommodating. Wish we could have stayed longer. The location away from city center was a plus. They were very helpful for allowing us to keep our luggage while we were out even early checking and check out.

Spent a really nice weekend with my wife and my 4-year old son at Kathleen's Cottage. Kathleen (and her husband Frank) are genuinely nice, friendly people who accommodated and/or anticipated our every need. Kathleen runs her B&B like a well-oiled machine but treats every person there as a special guest. Highlights for us were her amazing breakfasts (ebelskivers!! -- look it up) and the pristine Little League ballpark across the street that our son woke up early to play upon. Added bonus: we got to know some of other lovely and interesting people who were also kathleen's guests that weekend. We will be back!

Kathleen and Frank are great hosts. They know the area extremely well and have great recommendations. The breakfast was superb! The room we had "Mary" is fantastic! The shower is HUGE! I didn't want to leave! If you go to MV, this is the place!

Room Tip: MARY! It is a "suite"!

So happy to have found a treasure of a place to stay on my recent visit to Martha's Vineyard with some friends. Kathleen is beyond hospitable and a seasoned Vineyarder having spent many summers on the Island growing up. Her knowledge of where to go & what to see is invaluable. You will not find a better breakfast on the Island having an array of home cooked items served to you. The rooms were neat, clean & comfortable and her place has a cozy charm about it. If you want a warm, intimate experience on the Island, this is the place to stay! Looking forward to returning next year.

It was my first trip to the Vineyard--it was as if a magic wand was waved from the time we stepped off the ferry. The girls' just wanted to have fun and WOW!!! Did we ever...I am a world traveler and never have I felt so much at home! Kathleen is certainly very gifted with Hospitality and a "Queen in the Kitchen." The accommodations were very clean, cozy and could not have been a more beautiful environment. I didn't want to leave:))
Can't wait to make it an annual event and visit our new best friend at Martha's Vineyard. Thanks Kathleen

Room Tip: The swimming pool was the ocean and the fitness center was the beautiful walking outdoors. There co...

My family has been to the Vineyard a few times, but during the last weekend of July we decided to stay at Kathleen's Kottage in Oak Bluffs and it was a remarkable experience! We will never stay anywhere else on the Vineyard again! Kathleen and her husband were kind, warm, and exceptionally hospitable. The two cottages are beautiful, with delightful air conditioning, beachy decorations, and a welcoming atmosphere, not to mention how spotlessly clean everything was! And the breakfast... Kathleen cooks and bakes everything from scratch, offering everything from coffee to muffins to biscotti to French Toast to Fritattas! Needless to stay, we cannot wait to go back.
We've stayed in hotels all over the world and Kathleen's Cottage stands out against most of the places we've stayed at! For a truly special vacation experience, Kathleen's Kottage is the ONLY place to stay on MV.

Kathleen's Kottage is everything you'd want in a B&B. It's well-run by Kathleen herself, who is a very professional yet warm & friendly host. She is an excellent cook and her frittata with chorizo is not to be forgotten. The homemade blueberry muffins are also a treat. The place is very clean and beautifully decorated. You feel like you're breathing in fresh air when you arrive in the new yet classic "Mary" suite. The indoor shower is spacious and new, but the outdoor shower is the real treat. It's a must for anyone staying on the Cape or Islands. Blue sky overhead and fresh breezes, but hot water pouring down and don't worry, nobody can see you. She provides beach chairs to borrow, an important thing when you don't want to lug your own from home to the Vineyard. Also in the back is a bike storage rack.

Room Tip: You can't beat the Mary room. It's a nice 2-room suite with a big double-sink bathroom.
