The Orleans Public House has a small but innovative menu. I started with the soup du jour, a spicy and delicious Thai coconut soup with lemongrass, mushrooms, curry, and corn. My companion and I shared a garden salad which was generous (at $12, it should be!) but unremarkable. My pan-seared dayboat scallops were perfectly caramelized to bring out their sweetness. They were served with bacon lardons and watercress, both superfluous in my estimation, over a bed of excellent polenta with chives. My friend enjoyed his beer-battered cod, served with "pommes frites" which were actually potato wedges. Prices were on the high side, but the food was good and the service very attentive.
