This is a lovely bed and breakfast. Our family of 4 stayed in the very large room on the top floor and enjoyed beautiful water views and comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were quite friendly and helpful. I guess the only con is that, unlike some other places, it is not an easy walk to the town center and Plymouth Rock/Mayflower. Easy drive though, and need car to go to Plantation anyway.

Our family of six stayed in the roomy and comfortable upstairs room. Each morning we started our day with a run along the "Rails to Trails" path and returned to a lovely breakfast served on the porch. We would definitely stay here again.

Traveler beware! We have stayed in a number of B&Bs around the east coast and live in the east coast as well. We were traveling with our young children and another couple with children to Plymouth for the weekend and reserved a couple of rooms at Bayberry Inn B&B. We rented the penthouse which was spacious but a bit warm. Nothing special about this B&B and you still have to drive to the downtown part of Plymouth. The host Kathy was nice enough but I was very disappointed when we checked out as they ended up charging us $10/child for their breakfast, a cost they never mentioned on the phone when we made the reservations, nor when we checked in. The breakfast was okay, 2 chocolate chip pancakes and 2 sausages, certainly did not warrant $10 for each child, but more importantly, we were never given an option to "buy" our childrens' breakfast but instead were served and then charged. When I indicated to to Michael that a charge was never mentioned when we made the reservations, checked in, or served, he simply said, "how do you expect us to make money?". I explained that their policy for charges needed to be made clear to individuals when they call to reserve. I don't like others making decisions on my behalf and like to be given all information when I make reservations. I'm a business owner myself and make it a point to make all of my payment policies clear and expect other merchants to do the same as customer satisfaction is paramount. There was nothing to do around their place and again, you had to drive to get to downtown Plymouth and the beaches. Would not recommend this place at all.

However, we had just come from staying at Duxbury Tall Pines B&B in Duxbury, MA, just 15 min north of this B&B and absolutely loved it!!!! We had our own suite, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, with a kitchen, and living room at a much lower price and the breakfast was FABULOUS! The owners Bart and Shirley were very friendly and down to earth and we felt right at home. Their grounds were beautiful and peaceful and we all enjoyed their pool and hot tub. I will stay there again with my family and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling, with or without kids.

We spent three night in the inn's penthouse suite...excellent spacious homely accommodation. Patchwork quilts and a view of the sea...rocking chair on the porch...storybook USA. Michael served different breakfasts every day , with home made banana loaf, pancakes and muffins. We met other travellers over breakfast outside... And enjoyed the long but pleasant walk into Plymouth along the beach road. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The penthouse ideal for a family...well equipped kitchen area with fridge...

The outside patio is wonderful, quiet and nice. The hosts are wonderful, Michael helped when my car's battery died, offering to drive to find help. The breakfast is wonderful, and caters to gluten free needs.

We stayed at the Bayberry off season and mid week so the inn had an advantage in making us happy. This is a very attractive, thoroughly, and tastefully restored mid 19th century home. The owners, Michael and Kathy, have avoided the over furnished, nick knacked decoration of many victorian inns. Our suite on the third floor (top floor) was large, with a separate livingroom, moderate sized bedroom with a dressing room leading to a full bathroom. It was carpeted (most of the building has hardwood floors) but cleaned well enough to not bother my allergies. All of our windows had views of Plymouth harbour. The rooms on the second floor would have made us happy too. Michael is a gracious and relaxed host and the Bayberry feels more like an inn than a bed and breakfast, meaning you don't feel like you're staying in someone's house. Breakfast was a nice dish of mixed fruit followed by cranberry banana pancakes and sausage. They make good coffee which too many places still fail to do. I can't vouch for the soundproofing as we were on the top floor with only our quiet friends below us. However, the third floor can sleep 4 or 5 and an inconsiderate family could make life on the second floor difficult. Anyhow, this really was a pleasant place and I would rank it with my favorite B&B stays anywhere.

Room Tip: The penthouse suite is very nice.

This was a super place to stay with lots to see and do nearby. Cathy and Mike made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

The rooms were all lovely and the breakfasts fantastic. Mike is a brilliant chef.

If we return to New England (from England) we would love to return and would recommend Bayberry Inn to family or friends should they want to stay in the area.
