“Keep going back”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

We would keep going back for the burgers. The other food is average, but did I mention the burger? They have live music on the weekends and an amble bar. Unassuming, laid back and a truly awesome burger.

“Food is good, and a little different from other restaurants.”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Plymouth is a tourist town, so there are a lot of choices given its population.
That's great for diners, but coming up with a different menu is a challenge for restaurants. Nosh Tavern figured it out.
For example, just about every restaurant in town offers a burger, and some are pretty good. Nosh offers the Nosh Burger Episode #3. Not sure what happened to episodes 1 and 2, but #3 is great. It's home ground beef (yes, it does make a difference) with Dr. Pepper mixed in, some BBQ sauce and crispy onion strings. I would order it again.
You don't get fries with it, that will set you back another $5, but they are very good and perfect for sharing. They come with various choices of seasonings and dipping sauces that set them apart from the usual.
We also tried the BLT and the pastrami. They seem to have a knack for adding sauces or toppings that make them out of the ordinary.
I've only gone there for lunch, so I can't comment on the dinner menu.
On the downside, it is a former Dunkin Donuts shop, so if you are looking for atmosphere, look elsewhere. Also, the desserts aren't worth the bother in my opinion. They come in a little mason jar and are overpriced.

“Delicious Every Time”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

So far, we've only gotten apps, sandwiches and dessert for take out from them, but we've ordered a few times now and it was phenomenal every time. The wings were some of the best I've ever had. Their sandwiches are pretty cheap and tasty- my favorite so far is the pastrami, and it's only $6. Their desserts in a jar are dangerous- sooo yummy. I've had the peanut butter brownie one like 3 times now- it is brownies, chocolate peanut butter cups, and a sort of peanut butter cream cheese mousse all layered in a jar, all from scratch. It's addictive.

“Welcome addition to downtown”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

Had dinner here on a mid-week so am sure was slower and quieter than usual.
Both of us had the burger with ala carte fries and shared an app.

Menu selection is on the small side, so it is a good idea to review the online menu before coming here.
This is a not a travel out of your way restaurant. They are a good gastro pub though offering many craft beers on tap, good drink selection and some excellent grub.
The burgers were excellent, definitely better than Katie's B-Bar down the road IMO.
I was disappointed that they only seem to keep 1 beef burger on the menu and rotate them, not sure I understand why they would not keep 3 or so always available since judging by the reviews the Burgers seem very popular.
Prices seemed quite reasonable, service was very friendly.

Restaurant is small and although good for parking slightly not as good as a walking / site seeing location as most of the other dining spots in town.

The mid week night I was there a painting class was occupying a quarter or more of the space which was a little strange but did not interfere with my experience.
It did keep the place very quiet.
If meeting a group it may have made things uncomfortable though.
I will be back on a weekend to see how the atmosphere differs and will be ordering the burgers again.
