We had a whole lobster and delicious lobster bisque. The atmosphere is rustic. You order at a window so so not expect to be waited on but the food was great.

Wood's Seafood is a restaurant with a mission to delivery great fish without the fancy frills that come with most full-services joints. Set on the dock right by the sea you feel that the fish must have jumped straight from the sea to the pan and onto the plate. Order at a window by the entrance, find a table and wait for your number to be called. Our fish and chips were freshly cooked and piping hot and, of course, very tasty.

You get what you pay for which is good simple food at reasonable prices with a focus on the meal rather than on things such as silverware and fine china. Its a place of eating well at reasonable prices.

Also worth noting that they are very responsive to food intolerances and took special care that one of our party with an egg allergy got food that was in no way contaminated by the egg wash they use in battered fish. Good customer care.

Great place for heaping fresh fried seafood. Favorite is the mixed seafood platter...definitely enough for two! Not great for atmosphere, yet it's always busy and it's where we typically go for fried clams.

We're from Florida and we can't get seafood this fresh! We visited Wood's directly after our trip to Plimoth Plantation and we were so glad we did. We each had something different and shared. What a delight!! The restaurant is right on the docks in a fishing village setting. In turn, you know the fish is coming in fresh daily. Everything we ate was tasty and cooked to perfection. My favorite part was that I was able to have whole belly clams. Yummy! My whole family thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant.

I usually prefer a full-service restaurant over a casual dining place like Wood's Seafood. But it was hard to find a parking spot with the lunch crowd filling up each restaurant along the harbor. When we saw a car leaving Wood's, we decided to just park there and go in. We ordered clam chowder, lobster rolls, and scallop rolls. The seafood was delicious and well-prepared, and the prices were so reasonable. An excellent place for casual dining with family and friends.
