We glided across the warm pond.. I know first of all it was entitled sea so I thought it was ocean kayaking which I have done before. The guide Dave was truly knowledgeable, friendly had an amazing attitude. The price was very reasonable and the sheer novelty of night paddle boarding with led lights that lit up the paddle boards like bioluminescent plankton or club lights. I would do this again. The place is hard to find so have gps. I understand that they also have full moon kayaking, the paddle boards were really nice and you didn't have to lug them yourselves. They were right on the dock ready to go.

Got there at about 1:30, rented a double kayak and went out till about 4. You can bring a cooler and towel and find a beach, and the views are great. Staff was also very friendly.

This place is absolutely beautiful! We have been living in Plymouth for years and never knew Billington Sea Kayak existed. I heard about it from family and thought we would rent some kayaks on a Friday afternoon. I had rented kayaks in the past at other locations up north but it was much more expensive. We called ahead and the owner said we could bring our dog along the way. He was able to come along for his first kayak ride and even met a new friend, Morton, the shop dog. We will be back!

Went to Billington Sea Kayak last August with my large family. The first thing worth noting is the gorgeous setting. This historic pond is located just minutes from downtown Plymouth, yet seems as pristine as it probably was in pilgrim days. Many if us had little experience with kayaking and the staff was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and very helpful. We felt safe taking the little ones out with us. Once we were on the water we all got the hang of it very quickly. The scenery, the wildlife and the foliage were just breathtaking. Apparently there is a family of bald eagles in the area though we didn't see them that day. We had such a great time for a very reasonable price we plan to make this an annual family event. Several of us who live locally were impressed with the fair prices and good selection of kayaks for sale and plan to buy them in the spring.

Billington Sea Kayak is the perfect example why folks should support local (but, worth travelling from afar) independent businesses. Doug Gray and his knowledgeable staff have been providing expert advice and customer service second to none for decades.

With an expansive understanding of the industry and enthusiasm for kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding, they are proactive, true stewards of the sport. With patience and respect for their customers, folks who purchase a boat, will leave the shop, with an appropriate and well researched choice and the satisfaction of supporting a local business. A local business that has purposely empowered a number of young folks with their first job, that intentionally focuses its practices based on its respect for its customers and financially and altruistically supports a number of area non-profits that share the love of local watershed resources.
