It's hard to know where to begin. This is simply one of the loveliest places to stay, primarily because of the amazing hosts, Brenda and Roger. Nothing is too much trouble for them, be it helpful information on day tours, places to eat or even helping with quirky problems like removing tree sap stains!!! Their beautiful home is in the heart of Plymouth with easy walking to everything. The rooms were clean and so well presented, it was a pleasure to come back each night. They have one of the best views, both from their porch as well as from the rooms! My wife and I had four wonderful days in the region and you can not find a better place to stay.

What a wonderful B & B! We booked the place because of all of the absolutely wonderful reviews on tripadvisor and we can only add to that! We stayed 3 nights with day trips to Cape Cod, Newport, RI, and left only one day to see Plymouth which was not enough.

Sadly, the Mayflower II was not in dock so we will have to come back again!!

Plymouth as a town really pleasantly surprised us and we loved the quaint feel about it.
The B & B was ideally located right at the harbor and within a 2 block walk to the downtown area.

Our hosts Brenda and Roger, were truly wonderful and we enjoyed having coffee on the veranda each morning. They gave us breakfast vouchers for downtown restaurants which were very nice. Roger planted and maintains all of the lovely flower beds around the front porch and lawn. We enjoyed sitting out on the chairs each night watching the people go by.

We stayed in the Gov. Bradford suite which had 3 rooms; a kitchen, a living room with windows facing the harbor, and a bedroom with a king size bed. We only used the kitchen to chill our champagne and make tea. The room has it's own deck that faces the harbor as well. There is parking for your car right on the property. The room/suite has so many well planned little touches that make it so inviting and cozy. Brenda recommended eating at the Cabby Shack where the had the BEST clam chowder on our 24 day trip in New England.

We will definitely go back but the owners might retire before we can so! :( We will try our best to retire before THEY do!! All in all, a wonderful stay. They also gave us an absoutely terrific discount for Plimouth Plantation which was wonderful. Can't say enough good things about Plymouth and this wonderful B & B.

Room Tip: Make reservations EARLY, way in advance!!

My daughter and I decided to travel to Plymouth in order to visit the Mayflower and the plantation. We opted to stay at the b & b because of the location. We arrived by train and Roger was kind enough to pick us up at the train station and drove us around, both to show us the sights as well as give us a ride to the plantation. At the end of our stay, Brenda drove us to the bus station. Throughout our stay, Roger and Brenda were gracious hosts, making us truly welcome in their beautiful home. The view from our room was spectacular - unfortunately no Mayflower to be seen as it was still being "repaired". We got discounted tickets to see the plantation; but the bed was so comfy it was easy to just laze around. If I ever go back to Plymouth, I would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I traveled form Nebraska to the northeast for vacation and decided to stay in Plymouth for a couple of nights. We opted to stay at a B&B instead of a hotel and it was the right choice. The room was clean and meticulously decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the view was amazing. Brenda and Roger were kind and welcoming which was the cherry on top of a stay that neither my wife nor I will ever forget.

Room Tip: The Mayflower Suite overlooks the harbor. Watching the sun rise was a joy!

We stayed here with my parents and had a wonderful stay. Roger & Brenda were so friendly and welcoming, suggesting places to visit and routes to drive. We also got discounted tickets to Plimouth Plantation and whale watching. Unfortunately the Mayflower was still in dry dock for repairs so we couldn't see it from our room but this didn't spoil the stunning views from the rooms or the porch. Coffee and cake each morning was a great way to start our day before breakfasting at one of the two cafe's - the only problem was deciding which one to go to each day. Brenda also left us some tasty biscuits one afternoon and gave each couple a lovely photo of us on the front lawn, which will be a great reminder of our fabulous stay. Thank you for making our week most enjoyable, we could have stayed forever! Next time we come to Cape Cod we will definitely be staying here.

Brenda and Roger have themost glorious bed and breakfast imaginable. The rooms are decorated to perfection in every detail. The beds so comfortable. The view of the harbour is amazing and the hospitality and friendliness and relaxed atmosphere provided by Brenda and Roger, was so welcoming. Have stayed at a few b and b's but "by the sea" is in a class of its own, and I would say impossible to beat in every way. Walking distance to almost every tourist point of interest in Plymouth and walking distance to shops and restaurants. When we return to Plymouth one day, there is no other place I would contemplate. Also we were given some discount vouchers for breakfast and entry into one of the tourist venues. Thank you for making out stay in Plymouth so comfortable and memorable.

My fiancee and I spent 2 wonderful nights on June 16 & 17 in Plymouth and had the good fortune of staying with Brenda & Roger at the By the Sea Bed & Breakfast. We had the Winslow suite which I believe is the smallest of the 3 but we would not have changed a thing. On our enclosed sun porch Brenda had left 2 wine glasses & a bottle opener on the table between the 2 chairs overlooking the harbour. All the attention to detail was impeccable. We also had the use of the wrap around covered porch with fabulous views of the ocean & harbour. We were walking distance to all amenities. The 2 restaurants included for breakfast were delightful. Our hosts were a pleasure to converse with and they made us feel like family. We would be delighted to return and will request the Winslow suite. Thank you both very much.
