“We love Pilgrim Sands!”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

This was our second time at Pilgrim Sands. I headed here for my birthday with 6 other people. On Friday night we were close to the only people there so the manager gave us a larger room (no extra charge).
Of course, the rooms here could use an update for sure! For what they charge a night, they should easily be able to update. But that is my only "complaint". The rooms are clean. We stayed for 2 nights and on Saturday, when we left for the day, they came in and cleaned up, made beds, and restocked our towels.
The indoor pool is nice and clean. The beachfront area is our favorite. It's beautiful and there is plenty of space for hotel guests to chill and hangout. On Friday and Saturday nights there is usually live entertainment at the bar.
Pilgrim Sands is a quick drive to downtown Plymouth and right next to Plymouth Plantation.
When it's hide tide, there is no access to the beach since the water comes right up to the deck.
We already have another trip booked for mid-August :)
I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. Plus Plymouth is a beautiful area!

We had an excellent time at Pilgrim Sands this past weekend. One of our relatives lives locally, and suggested Pilgrim Sands for its waterfront views and proximity to restaurants. We were celebrating a graduation, and family members were coming from all across the country. We really appreciated that the staff were able to book each of us in waterfront rooms, and in rooms that were right next door to one another. The rooms were very spacious, and the views were spectacular! It was great to have such a large refrigerator and freezer in the room to keep drinks and leftovers cold throughout our stay. I personally really appreciated the free WiFi. I spent time over the weekend doing work and needing access to the internet, and the reliable internet connection was fabulous! Above all, the customer service was outstanding. We got back from dinner shortly before closing time, but the bartender was willing to serve us all one round of drinks, and made sure to check in with each of us before closing down. The housekeepers were very pleasant, and said "Good Morning!" and "How are you?" every time we saw them. The staff manning the continental breakfast were great as well - wiping up any crumbs and replacing items each time someone visited the buffet area. It was very well tended to! The owner was also spectacular. He spent time with members of our group showing them the different rooms, and even showed them an apartment that was available for rent. He even sold us a bottle of wine when we didn't have time to get to the store! He actually didn't accept our money, but instead left a note suggesting we give the money to the housekeepers, as they work the hardest! You could tell he was really about making us happy, and making sure his employees were rewarded for all of their hard work and exceptional customer service. As I mentioned before, some of our group had traveled from different parts of the country, and some had never been to the Cape before. Upon checking out, the owner was also very helpful in giving directions and suggesting the best places to stop along the trip "Down the Cape!" Even though we went at an off-season time, the rates were reasonable. It actually feels like we got a bargain because the customer service was so wonderful! The next time we visit the Cape, we will definitely be staying at Pilgrim Sands, and suggest that you do too!

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a waterfront view - it's REMARKABLE! Also, be sure to ask the staff/owners an...

Our family has visited Plymouth and stayed at the Pilgrim Sands on and off for more than twenty-five years. We have stayed in many different rooms, including the apartments, and enjoyed them all, especially the oceanfront ones. Probably our most momentous visit came the weekend of April 11-13, 2014, when friends and family joined us at Pilgrim Sands for the wedding of our daughter at Plimoth Plantation.
The weather was great. The hotel was perfect. The rooms were pristine and comfortable; the lobby, cozy. The staff was pleasant, accommodating, and extremely helpful. Any question we had was answered quickly, any problems averted. Restaurant recommendations were excellent. Our cake "glitch" was solved in a snap due to their quick thinking. Our morning after "brunch" was successful due to the staff's helpful planning and set up.
It was a wonderful wedding and great weekend. A success, due, in part, to the people at Pilgrim Sands. Thanks for everything. We'll be back.

Room Tip: Have stayed in many of the rooms, including the apartments. All are lovely. The apartments are gre...

Overwhelmed with life in the city, a friend had given us the name of this wonderful resort in Plymouth, just an hour away. A phone call away, we headed down Saturday morning (Grandpy, Grandson, and Vavo). When we arrived our oceanfront room was waiting - immaculately clean, lots of pillows, lots of blankets and a view that was breath taking of the ocean from Duxbury to Provincetown. A dip in the pool, followed by quick showers (bathroom was spotless - I checked it out), towels - big and fluffy and we were off to Plymouth fo an early supper at Wood's Restaurant - a peak at Plymouth Rock, a view of the Mayflower II, a trip to a small playground on the water and back to our room. Another dunk in the pool, hot tub for Grandpy and back to the room - showers and bedtime as we watched the sunset - so beautiful. Vavo checked out the music and the lounge was full of locals as well as guests - everything was more than reasonable for historic Plymouth and so convenient for us. Did I mention how comfortable the queen beds were and how spacious the room was - plenty of room for dinosaurs, coloring books, crayons, the Leapster and US!! We checked out the breakfast which was satisfying and very nice while watching the ocean splash against the rock wall of our resort - before packing up to leave, we inquired about summer weeks - handicapped rooms - and the Crow"s Nest Apts. We are planning to return (perhaps alone/ or with a second grandchild in tow) and enjoy the best place on the CAPE! So much to do in the area - did I mention the great staff - from phone call to getting there - to answering questions - to just being down right wonderful folks. Now this is definately an excellent resort for all ages. Our grandson was delighted with his Sand Dollar gift as we left and wanted to know if he could come back soon - it's the best place EVER!!! Yup, Grandpy and I agree - we got a great night's sleep - were drawn in by the ocean waves - encountered a terriffic staff and beautiful lodgings - only one thing was missing ------ MORE TIME! We'll be back and soon!

Room Tip: Tell them what you would like - they will help you make the right selection. Personally - any room...

We just got back from spring break with our 2 girls....6 and almost 9. We decided to do a New England road trip and we had a blast. Our first stop was in the gorgeous, quaint town of Pymouth MA.
Our beachfront resort was perfect. An oceanfront room with 2 double beds and an extra single bed as well....our curtains opened up to the magnificent ocean and surrounding nature just 5 steps out our doorway. Wonderful low and high tides and sunrises and sunsets...lounging out back. Staff was wonderful and so friendly...they have music on Sat nites...2 cool gentleman who play whatever you like. My girls danced up a storm to the delight of the other visitors and nicknamed the Pilgrim Sand Dancers. Nothing over the top, but if you want to get out of the room, you can relax there. We will definitely be back.
You must check out downtown....really great....Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower replica.
Cute shops and restaurants....We LOVED T-Bones .Live music...loud and a crowd pleaser...great menu and affordable. Don't let the Harley Davidsons parked outside fool you.
Just locals and music lovers looking to hang out and enjoy...families too.
The gang also gave my girls each a sand dollar when we left....of course they thought that was really cool.
Also a MUST in Plimouth..(.yup that's how it's spelled back then) or nearby on the cape is the Plimouth Plantation just across the street from this hotel...
So informative and a really great history lesson. So interesting and not stuffy. Learn through a short video and see how the Indians and Pilgrims came about to co-exist and how differently they lived. The Wampanog Indians are actual decendents...dressed and working as they would have back in the 1600....speaking English so we could ask as many questions as we liked.
Friendly and informative.....even my husband was impressed. The Pilgrim village the historians spoke in their English tongue and dressed in that era...all in character and amazingly knowledgeable. We walked out of there really impressed. There is also a few side crafts to do and see pottery made but I have to say it was really amazing. We loved it!!

Room Tip: Room 18 not next to anyone and just steps to the boardwalk out back overlooking the ocean. Sleeps 5

This is our second stay at Pilgrim Sands and found it again, to be a great experience. This Hotel is right on the ocean and is cozy, and comfortable. Our room was tastefully decorated and super clean. Staff is pleasant and friendly and strives to make your stay a memorable experience. There was live music in the evenings and continental breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this place to all who visit this lovely, historic area.

Room Tip: Any would be great.

We just completed a lovely two-night get away weekend at the Pilgrim Sands. Our room, with balcony, made my wife say, "it is like being on a cruise ship. A;ll you can see is ocean.". The staff were exrtordinarily friendly and helpful. The lobster roll in the lounge (on Fridays & Saturdays) was the best we have ever had at any price (Only $13.99)! The live music was good. Enjoyed the Jacuzzi and in-door pool. Off-season rates make for a great value. We'll be back.

Room Tip: ocean front!
