I have never been to a Portuguese bakery before this visit. The pastries are to die for. Go in and get one, your belly will be happy you did!

Get the fried dough ~ Malasadas? Plenty of other things that are very tasty. Drinks too. Years ago they used to make beautiful breads in shapes of turtles and fish and other animals and braids displayed in the window. We miss that! Delish!!!!!!!!!!!

If you like fried dough, the malasadas are wonderful, especially when they're fresh out of the fryer. And since they fry them in a space visible through the front window, you can tell when they're freshly made, and when they might have been sitting around a bit. Everything else we tried here was disappointing - looked good, but was mostly just sweet. Service was a bit brusque, sometimes verging on rude. But a warm malasada on a cool summer night is a treat not to be missed.

My family always eats here when we come to Provincetown. We enjoy breakfast, lunch and desserts here. The food is consistently delicious and not overpriced. My son loves the chicken finger plate, Portuguese soda and the chocolate chip cookies. My Portuguese wife loves everything. I am a big fan of the Bifana plate. We recently tried the non-flour chocolate cake. Wow.

If you're not stopping in for a malasada from this place while you're visiting Provincetown, you're ruining your life!!! I'll be dreaming about them until we're in town again next year. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
