We decided at the last second to go to Provincetown for the weekend.

I went online and submitted a request to Crew’s Quarters to see if they had last second availability. Within 15 minutes, I had heard back that they could accommodate us and our plans were set. We had stayed here in previous years under old management and it did leave a bit to be desired at times. I was hoping that the change in ownership would lead to a change in the experience. We were not disappointed.

The interior has a complete makeover. The rooms have been updated (new beds) and they actually created a cozy television / social room overlooking Commercial Street. It was a great place to relax and catch the overnight Olympic coverage. The people watching on Commercial Street is fantastic from that space as well.

Our biggest complaint with the old place was the shared bathrooms. That is no longer a complaint! The upgrades that were done is outstanding. They are very modern and you can actually shower without touching the walls! There are plenty of toiletries and towels for use as well. That was always a problem in the past.

Finally, the house manager is outstanding. From welcoming us, to spending time with guests in the evening in the television room to following up as we checked out, it was a perfect customer experience. The house manager makes the experience at Crew’s Quarters outstanding.

We highly recommend Crew’s Quarters to everyone!

I didnt know what to expect when I heard the Ranch or "Raunch" was taken over renamed the Crews Quarters. The new updates that were made look great. Bathrooms are spotless and as we know that's very important. Bedroom are good and serve the purpose.. to sleep.
Great value and amazing location. The staff were fun, cool, personable, and made me feel welcome.
If you expect the old Rauch, I mean Ranch its gone the way of VHS tapes and dial up! The Crews Quarters is a great place for young fun people to stay without being a "party house".

if you are looking for an inexpensive, simple place to stay, you may want to consider this spot. the location is very central - a few doors over from Spiritus. rooms are pretty small and basic decor. The layout of the place is kind-off fun - your sort of feel like your are in a dormitory. There is a nice common area with a gas fireplace on the main floor. On a rainy saturday, my friends and i hung out there for a few hours and it was pleasant flow of friendly guests and staff joining us for drinks and chat. I met the owners who were cool. I also spent a bit of time with the live in staff and they were all super nice guys.

If you are looking for luxury - not your place. If you are looking for some fun energy, convenient location and low cost - check it out!

We were lucky to be the first "official" guests at the newly-christianed CREW'S QUARTERS. We stayed several times before when it was The Ranch. The new owners have put a big effort into re-vamping the place, starting with the outside. It looks much more inviting. The bathrooms are incredible, redesigned and updated sparing no expense. New beds made sleeping very comfortable and the downstairs "reception" room is cleaned up and brighter, making the whole house a more comfortable place to stay.

The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. It was our anniversary weekend, and the guys went out of their way to make us feel like their personal guests. We were worried when we thought Ptown had lost The Ranch, but so grateful now for the new QUARTERS. We can't wait to go back later in the summer and the fall.

The new owners of the old Ranch - now Crew's Quaters are pouring boat loads
of money into the old lady - I have been watching constant & diligent work They
are giving the old lady a bright new lease on life -bath rooms redone ,LONG LONG
over due paint jobs .The new owners are hands on and not shy on spending money.
I don't know what their plans are but from what I can see they are NOT doing a
surface fluff job & a promise of we can do it later .
The Crew's Quaters still have one of the best pouches to watch the world go by on,clubs,
shopping, public transportation, resteraunts ,gallerys, coffee houses are at your feet in
abundance.
I have complete confidence in the new life for the old Ranch - give the new guys a try,
they are working hard - the monumental ( LONG OVER DUE !!!) work speaks volumes
of a commitment and change - BEST LUCK TO CREW'S QUATERS

Hubby and I had wanted to try something different during our stay in Provincetown, and we chose 'The Ranch'. A gentleman's guest house, and one of the funnest places to stay in Provincetown.

Fancy and Mark are excellent hosts (and adorable, to boot!). We had a nice room facing commercial street on the 3rd floor. The place was clean, and full of characters. The gatherings, hanging out on the patio with the other guests, the after hours parties, all served to make everyone feel a part of one big giant household.

I hadn't had so much fun at a place to stay in forever. Normally I just go back to the room and go out. But Fancy and Mark had a way of making complete strangers feel like old friends by the time the visit ended. I really didn't want to leave today.

Some of the rooms are quite small, but who goes to P-town to stay in their room? Our room was quite cozy, ceiling fan, full size bed, dresser and closet. The shared bathroom was not a problem for this traveler, nor was the bit of noise at the end of the night on Commercial St.

The Ranch is a totally unique experience in lodgings in Provincetown. I especially liked that the upper floors were 'clothing optional'. A big shout out to Dan, Fancy, and Rab, who kept the place clean and neat, and kept us busy having the time of our lives.

Room Tip: Room 30 was one of the 'larger' rooms apparently, and it was front facing commercial st. we...

We went to Provincetown in August of 2010.

This was our first visit to Provincetown and we decided to go with one of our friends. We had just gotten married and decided to just go and find a place. I am so happy we found this one. Right off the bat, Mark welcomed us and greeted us with the special coffee, loved that. Being from Texas we expect some sort of hospitality, boy did we get that. We got a cozy little room and ventured off into the city. Every day that was something interesting going on in the house. They have a great porch that is basically right on Commercial Street, great place to people watch.

When you come to Provincetown, its all about the people and the city. There's no reason to be stuck in a hotel when there is so much to do. If your a prude, stay at your house. This is definitely a different style of Bed and Breakfast that just seems to work. I wouldn't suggest bringing any kids. We met some great friends and have stayed in touch with them all year. We had so much fun that we booked a week in Advance for Aug 2011 Carnival because we missed it by just a few days. So headed back in less than 10 days and will let you know how it goes.

Room Tip: Rooms are either Queens or fulls, ask for a Queen.
