First, let me say that my family and I had a wonderful stay the in the summer of 2011. We booked for two weeks in the summer of 2012, and left after one. We expected the same "rustic charm" that we had enjoyed the year before, but it was a little out of control. A leak in the dining room ceiling from the bathroom above, which we'd been told would be fixed the year before, was still there -- and much worse. We probably would have lived with that and the fact that the place in general needs some serious upkeep and renovation, but the rudeness/hostility of the owner was just too much for us. We spoke with another group of guests who had been coming to the Prince Freeman for several years, and apparently it has been going downhill for awhile. There are so many places to stay in Ptown, don't get stuck at a rundown property with a rude owner.
