Provincetown Trolley
Reviewed 10 October 2013 via mobile

The trolley bus tour took you out of Provincetown to see things you'd not normally see if you just stay in the town. The guide pointed out loads of things that we'd not noticed even though we'd been there a couple of days. Certainly worth doing.

7 of us went to Provincetown to take the trolley ride since we were assured several days before, that the trolley would be there on a predicted beautiful day. We were all on time for the noon ride. There were many people who were waiting as well. I especially took note of a group from the British Isles. We all stood around for over an hour waiting for the trolley. The locals told us that usually the trolley was there. Still, no trolley. We tried calling the business and got a recording. Finally, someone called back and said that the driver couldn't make it. WHAT??? How about having someone come down and tell us that it wasn't available or posting a cancellation sign? This business is very unreliable. There were many very disappointed people who now have a bad taste in their mouths. The only plus was listening to a great street band while we wasted out time. Grrr.

I visited Provincetown with a group of friends and we just jumped on the Provincetown Trolley at the last minute. That ended up being a great decision. Provincetown is a quaint town filled with all kinds of unique shops and trendy restaurants. The history of Provincetown is quite interesting and the trolley took us through the town and then through the National Seashore. The National Seashore is really beautiful and quite large. Seeing the National Seashore is a must! We had a great driver who used her microphone to greet locals as we passed by and injected some humor addressing some not-so-competant motorists that were blocking our way on the very narrow Commercial Street. The trolley is open air, takes only 40 minutes, costs $15 and it is a good way to get an overview of Provincetown before deciding how to spend the rest of the day. I highly recommend taking the Provincetown Trolley.

My wife and I took a 40 minute sightseeing tour of Provincetown right after we arrived on a boat from Boston. The trolley was open air and the driver gave a running commentary of the town, people and sights along the way. This was an excellent way to get oriented.

The P-town Trolley is a terrific way to sit back and relax while touring all the key highlights of this charming coastal town.
It is only $15 per adults to hop on board the constantly running open-air trolley and hit the high notes of history and rumors through a well versed docent *ambassadors eyes.
The breeze off the bay blows through to keep you cool as you tool along the streets & bends listening to the history of this special landing point for the Mayflower & the Pilgrims for roughly 40 minutes or so.
We found it to be educational, folksy & fun - well worth the time investment to see the full peripheral of town aside from the main drag of commercial street.
I'd highly recommend any '1st timers' take this tour back in time & soak in the history, details and sights that can be overwhelming.
