“A beautiful sandy beach ”
Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

A long walk on the granite boulders and a "sandy desert" will lead you to one of the most beautiful long sandy beaches in the east coast. Go in the afternoon when it's not too hot. It's defiantly worth it.

“Walk out at Low Tide”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

This hike is worth it just make sure you are prepared.
If you are going to walk on the mostly flat boulders be sure to wear tennis shoes or good walking shoes. I don't recommend flip flops or slippery shoes. Some of the boulders are steep and there are some with wide gaps. I recommend going out at low tide and climbing off the boulders and walking the shortcut through the flats to the right of the boulders on the way out.
Bring a towel and plenty of water because once you get to the other side there is a nice beach to sit and relax.
The lighthouse is not open, but you can walk around the outside.
It is a nice walk with pretty views on the way out and back.

“Be careful and enjoy!”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

It took us about 45 minutes each way to walk across the breakwater...which is a bunch of boulders stacked. It isn't too dangerous unless you're a dufus texting your friends, someone watching their kids instead of their feet, or the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz...you really have to watch where you put your feet. Other than that, it is a beautiful walk/jump/hop to the lighthouse. If you go when the water is moving under the breakwater, it is a lovely gurgling sound that is great for meditation.

“Worth the Extra Hike!”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

If you've made to the end of the breakwater, Wood End Lighthouse is just a bit further.
Slightly to the north west about 10 minutes away, sits the lighthouse and shed. You actually don't need 2 hours to view the lighthouse, though time is need to get there over the breakwater.Though there is nothing particularly unusual it still represents an important part of Cape history. It is located on Cape Cod Bay and the second of the three Provincetown lighthouses. It is the easiest to reach on a moderate hike! You can drive to Race Point and Long Point requires a much longer, arduous hike. Once there you will be treated to another viewing perspective of the bay as well as the harbor and town. The dunes and sea grass add to the tranquility. Lunch and sunbathing add to the enjoyment and peace.

“Lighthouse”
Reviewed 15 August 2013

A point of interest after a long walk on the breakwater, picture worthy. The horn is a sound that I remember from previous visits, not sure if any seamen hear or care about the horn
