“Wonderful stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

My partner and I have been coming to the Inn annually for the past 5 years. This is the first year with John and Patrick as the new owners and they both are carrying on the tradition of excellence established in years past. It begins with them both as the consummate hosts, trading off individually at daily breakfast, each of them warm and welcoming. The week we were there a large number of international guests added to the experience, as both Patrick and John acquainted them to P'town. As others have pointed out, they offer excellent insights and advice to all of the guests. The addition of a "cook out" in the garden for all the guests is a great idea. It afforded us all to get to know each other a bit better and have a terrific barbeque.

If you enjoy an oasis from the craziness of Commercial Street, proximity to most of the art galleries and hosts with the most, make your reservation now, you won't regret it!

We visited P-town the week of July 11-21, Bear Week. We stayed in the Retreat. Breakfasts were delicious. - Andrew is a great cook. John and Patrick, the new inn-keepers, are wonderful. They made everyone feel so welcome and comfortable. Also, a nice touch was the cook-out that they hosted for their guests. We certainly will be back to the Inn at Cook Street for our next visit. - Jack & Gus, Phoenix, AZ

I've stayed at several Provincetown bed and breakfasts, but this place tops the list. It's a quick walk to the center of town, yet far enough away to be a relaxing retreat. The rooms are clean, well decorated, and spacious, with plenty of variety depending on what you're looking for. (We stayed in "The Retreat" and absolutely loved having our own living room and private deck!)

I should also mention that John Jay and Patrick, the owners of Cook Street, were consummate hosts. They welcomed us every morning with a fantastic breakfast and gave us lots of advice on what to do in the area.

We have our new regular place to stay. From now on, we'll be calling the Inn and Cook Street our Provincetown home!

Room Tip: Read the room descriptions. Big variety. If staying for a longer period of time, choose The Retreat...

My recent stay at Inn at Cook Street was totally delightful. My room, which I named "the tree house" because tree branches spread shade over my private deck, was large, quiet, private and comfortable. The innkeepers, John and Patrick, were always available to make great suggestions for restaurants, art exhibits, shops and to give directions, help with taxis -- you name it, and they were there for us. Everything is just steps from the door of the inn: the inn's beach, delis, PTown's art museum, galleries, great restaurants, cute shops. And best of all: I didn't get into a car my entire trip! I will always stay at Cook Street when I visit PTown.

What a wonderful place to stay. Its a beautiful home, with pleasing decor, and a very relaxing atmosphere. What a great location too. Very close to all the action, walking distance to everything, but the home sits on a very quiet side street. Perfect at the end of the day.
The staff is very friendly and Andrew, the breakfast chef, is fantastic.
The inn keepers John & Pat are great guys. They really care about the guests comfort....you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: The rooms are beautiful, but the two cottages out back are adorable and offer extreme privacy.

Patrick and John were excellent hosts.. The Inn is absolutely beautiful and you can tell they take pride in ownership.. I loved the fact that it was a little bit off the down town area but with in walking distance ( less than ten minutes)... very quite and cozy.. a great visit... John and Patrick are very knowledgeable of the area and had many suggestions for where to go and what to do.. we will be visiting again.. Thanks!!!

Elegant, cozy, great location...John and Patrick are your hosts. They know the area well and can give you great recommendations for dinner and things to do. The inn has a beautiful private garden, gorgeous rooms and a private beach just a walk down from the inn. Close to downtown Provincetown but not too close. A great romantic get away.
