The positive first. Great location near everything in P-town, Great treetop deck for relaxing.
Trip was almost ruined due to bad attitude and demeanor of the innkeeper. His behavior ranged from unfriendly to hostile which almost resulted in our departing before the end of the week we had prepaid. One of our party has a respiratory sensitivity and asked the housekeeper not spary the room with aerosol deoderizer. A second request was necessary. The innkeeper became livid and claimed we were harrassing the housekeeper. To every question posed about the area, places to eat etc got no response. When we turned on the overhead fan on the sun porch, he came right behind and turned it down. Sullen is the best description we can come up with. Innkeeper not qualified to work in the hospitality field. No wonder they're trying to sell the place. Would not stay there again

This is such an unfortunate review but I knew this was coming from the moment of check out. This guest was from the previous guest list of past ownership and management. He expected the Inn to be run in the same haphazard manner as in the past. This no longer applies. Sometimes a renovation and change in general is disturbing to returning guests.
There was nothing to be done to please him. The guests insistence on following our cleaning professional around their room in close proximity during the cleaning process was unprofessional and he was asked to stop. This was what prompted the review above. Enough said.
We use chemical free room spray. Information on restaurants and events in the area was given at least 5 times at great length. The length of stay was completed in its entirety.
I am sorry this guest felt they were not given enough attention. We do our best for every guest at the Elephant Walk Inn.
J

We recently stayed at the Elephant Walk Inn on a trip to P-town. We booked it last minute and all our first choices were already booked. It turned out to be our luck. The house was built in 1917 and while it shows its age that is part of the charm. The Eight room B&B is under new ownership and Jeffrey Gilman is the fabulous host. There is a nice continental breakfast in the morning and the rooms are spacious and have a/c, free wifi and a mini fridge. What we liked most about the Elephant was that since it was a block off the strip the guests mingled more and we got to know people. The upper deck was very nice to sit and relax and read the paper and enjoy the nice view of the Pilgrims Monument. The house was in a very good location. The shops and bars were an easy walk or Pedi-cab ride away and there were really good restaurants nearby and a nice restaurant/store two buildings over. I would certainly recommend a stay at the Elephant Walk Inn. Hopefully you will love P-town as much as I did.

We had the pleasure of getting in to The Elephant Walk Inn on a booked up weekend in P-Town where most inns wanted 3 to 4 night stays. We like to go out just for an extended weekend to do a little shopping and dining and Jeff was happy to give a room for two nights. From previous reviews I was a little scared to stay, but realized the inn was sold last year and the crew and owners at the inn are now making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We had a nice room and the back deck was nice to just go out and sit and relax and have a glass of wine. We can't wait to go back next year!

After coming back a 4 th time they had cleaned repainted and did alot of updates.Jeffrey the Mgr has made very great stides to revamp almost every thing but the charm it has not left the Elephanet walk. A home away from home feeling, but not that that's what you want.Still the great parking, have changed some of the rooms, updated everthing.Even the flowers look like they ready to bloom soon.Yes under new Managent but you still get the Feel for P-town so close,So enjoy your Days at the Inn your walk to downtown just Mins away.PS Have fun and have a Stay as I did
Thanks
