We didn't know what to expect when we arrived in P-Town but we certainly weren't prepared for the assault on the senses that Commercial Street delivers. Yes, there are some quaint stores and nice galleries but overall the street felt more like a Virginia Beach than a Cape Cod experience. It is extremely crowded, full of tacky souvenir shops and a never ending parade of people looking for attention - both gay and straight. It's worth a visit but you wouldn't want to spend a significant amount of time there.
