We didn't know what to expect when we arrived in P-Town but we certainly weren't prepared for the assault on the senses that Commercial Street delivers. Yes, there are some quaint stores and nice galleries but overall the street felt more like a Virginia Beach than a Cape Cod experience. It is extremely crowded, full of tacky souvenir shops and a never ending parade of people looking for attention - both gay and straight. It's worth a visit but you wouldn't want to spend a significant amount of time there.

I love window shopping and eating on Commercial Street. Walking on Commercial Street is very entertaining. I enjoy walking around and admiring all the beautiful gardens and galleries.

We loved the food, music and overall vibe of p-town.
Our kids (5yo, and 8yo) loved the cross dressers yelling on the street to get folks into their bars, taverns etc.
We had our fill of ice cream, toffee, and candy for the rest of the year.
The kids felt like they were in some wierd Disney spectacle for much of our walk through the main drag.
Avoid the beach- too many way better options at the cape.

Loved this street, especially the galleries area. There is plenty of options for parking ($10) along the street. The restaurants options are numerous. Great street to wander!!
