Here's the skinny: Going to the Revere house is like visiting staying at your friend's house: not a hotel feel at all. The house is set one block away from the main drag, a short walk from the ferry, but is on a very quiet street, very peaceful. The house has a small bit of street frontage and a gate blocking the driveway, as we learn, to keep the pets inside the yard: A cat and a few small, very friendly, dogs wander the property. As it was a quiet time, Gary was kind enough to switch us to a room with a larger bed. The rooms we saw are very clean, small, and ours had a tiny shower and WC. There is a sun porch on the roof and a patio in the back, the patio being in a temporary state of disrepair as he was switching out the hot tub for a fire pit. In the back is a breakfast room, a converted garage (?) used to serve breakfast which was fresh baked muffins, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, bagels, juice, coffee, etc.

I had read the bad reviews before visiting and I can see where Gary could get his dander up a bit: it is his house and he deeply cares about it. That said, Gary was nothing but super friendly to us. Not only did he get us a room with a larger bed, but, after we checked out, we went for a long bike ride before catching the ferry: Gary stored our bags, and after the ride, gave us access to a shower with fresh towels, and cold drinks.

So, on the plus side: Location, clean (!!), quiet, very friendly, home-like. On the down side: small room, parking is limited, and if you don't like dogs/cats ... the pets are out and about. We loved it and will definitely come again.

Room Tip: The sun room is open to all visitors, but is located directly outside one room. Might be an issue o...

I booked my next trip at check out, AGAIN. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Provincetown just wouldn't be the same without The Revere Guest House and Inn Keepers Gary and David. From the well served breakfasts to the luxurious sheets to go to sleep on, every detail is thoughtful, and thoughtfully taken care of. The location is perfect, local to everything nearby. From beaches, to places to see and things to do, to restaurants, and nitetime life. If you are looking for quiet, you'll find that too. There isn't anything you are looking for, that you can't find there...

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely and well appointed. The third floor rooms have fireplaces that are great on...

We walked in to check if a room was free. Gary was very helpful and friendly and great to talk to. The room itself was astonishing beautiful. You could feel every little detail was placed thoughtfully. It was a small room but so romantic. Everything was new and clean. The breakfast was served in an also very beautiful room which was so personally furnished so you had the feeling to be having your breakfast at your friends.
There is also a small roof terrace and parking is available.
The location is very central in Provincetown but still quiet.
We absolutely recommend this place and would come here again.

Gary and David were great housekeepers. Felt very welcomed when we arrived. Fun to chat with, too.

For the rooms and inn itself, the outside is well maintained and convenient in location as it's right up the street between the shops on Commercial St. and Bradford St. Parking is limited and there are no in-out privileges but that is disclosed to you. In this case, if you brought your own bikes I'd recommend that you take the sights in first with the trails at the dunes and then just park inside and walk to the shops. The room we stayed in was room #8 (the Chatham Room) and it was wonderful. Very spacious with an awesome fireplace for those chilly nights. Awesome deck view of the ocean. This is not a private deck but for the most part, no one came up to the deck. Updates lighting, refrigerator to store leftover foods, two televisions so there's no conflict.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend staying here. You can tell the place is extremely well maintained. The innkeepers are friendly and welcoming. For us, a nice place only does so much. The other half has to be the service. This place has definitely done both. We look forward to seeing you guys again soon!
