Eastwood at Provincetown
Reviewed 8 July 2014

I came with a group of friends and it was a blast. Staff was wicked nice. The pool and hot tub were wicked clean. The hotel room was big. I can't wait to come back. The only downsides were that the pool closes at 10pm and it's a mile from town. Here is a tip: bring a scooters or bicycle because taxis are insanely priced.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Eastwood early June. We booked through booking.com and were unaware that the front desk closes late afternoon. We arrived just in time, but the receptionist told us he was about to put a sign outside that a room had become available. Lucky us!

The room was a studio with a small kitchen (everything was there: from plates to utensils), a bathroom with bath and a bed in a closet. The interior was quite old: bit of an 80's feel. But everything was really clean and there were enough towels and pillows.

PRO:
- You can save some money and cook in your studio
- Clean
- Swimming pool and jacuzzi in the common area
- Great price for Provincetown
- Free WiFi

CON:
- Bed is in closet, mattress is not great
- Motel-atmosphere, older crowd
- Quite a walk from centre of Provincetown, and parking your car downtown is expensive
- Infrastructure is dated

Okay, so this is PROVINCETOWN! Finding an affordable studio apartment that is clean, reasonably quiet, has parking, a kitchen, a table for eating, a phone, free wifi etc..... hot tub, pool, etc etc. One must not expect a 5-star hotel in a town that is booked solid during the high season. I stayed off season for a night and am returning today for 1 or 2 nights. Sandy is awesome and friendly and kind and helpful! The kitchen has a coffee maker, a large fridge, everything needed to cook etc. Perfect. Simple and clean. But perfect.

Room Tip: If you do not want to shlep your luggage ask for a room close to parking

Wanted somewhere to stay in PTown for one night on a short visit to the US. Arrived at 18:00 to find the place closed up, and a sign on the door pointing to our apartments. This was OK, but not very welcoming on a cold, dark November night. We had a studio room and a small suite. The latter was fine for three "kids", with a double bed and a convertible sofa, two bathrooms. The studio was hopelessly small, with a pull down bed and so much else jammed in that there was no space to move. Bathroom was tiny and door did not shut properly. Facilities were minimal. We managed for one night, but I would not want to stay longer. Our start the next morning was delayed because we had to wait for the office to open at 09:00. Again, not very convenient. Eastwood is right on the outskirts of town. Took us a while to find a restaurant (the Lobster Pot) which was good and very friendly. I guess the bigger rooms would be OK in season for a short stay, but overall we found the place quite dispiriting.

Room Tip: Avoid the studios.

PTown is a lot of fun, even in November, but this timeshare is like staying in a motel. Cheapest of furnishings, no effort at making it cozy or homey (no artwork, flat white walls), linens frayed and with holes. Sliders open to walkway so that either blinds were closed and you had privacy, or blinds were open and you were on display. Back windows overlook dumpster and maintenance shed. That said, it is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful, so if the price is right, go for it.

Spent a week here and will definitely come again. Great staff and rooms are adequate but exceptional for Provincetown. Good price and value - they really care about the place and it shows. Thanks and see you next year.

Room Tip: Rooms on ground floor hear footsteps above, but 2nd floor only accessible by stairs.
