They advertise on the water dining however in reality you dine inside and view the water through dirty glass windows. The small terrace outside has little seating and for cocktails only, no tables. No high chairs available but they do sell condoms in the bathrooms. Service was very (very) slow. Four burgers, Cesar salad were ok. Onion soup was very good. Our meal plus 4 beers and 2 pellegrinos was $150.

We have been hearing such good reviews of Ross' Grill from friends that we decided to go there on a nice July evening. We made reservations and were welcomed upon arrival and seated at a table with a beautiful view of the harbor. A friendly server brought us water and a few pieces of slightly warm bread with a peppery olive oil dipping sauce. After perusing the extensive menu and hearing a detailed explanation of the specials, we ordered a bottle of wine, an appetizer of fried calamari and entrees of fried cod and brick chicken. Our calamari was sub par, but not horrible. It was served with a hot, delicious dipping sauce. The calamari was cut into very large rings and was very, very chewy. Not a great start. My cod was served over a large mountain of mashed potatoes and with wilted spinach. The cod was chewy and overcooked and not flavorful. My partner's brick chicken fared better: it was flavorful and juicy but was also served over a giant mound of mashed potatoes. We were disappointed in the meal, considering the high praise from our friends. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. However, service is only part of an enjoyable restaurant experience. We are in town for the summer and probably will not bother returning to Ross' Grill anytime soon as there are better options in this wonderful town. I should add that prices are in line with other similar Provincetown restaurants.

We had a 6:30 bar reservation. After riding 190 miles to raise $13,000 for cancer research in the Pan Mass Challenge we realized we needed to eat earlier. So we showed up and asked if we could eat at 5:30. The hostess sat us at a table. The waitress was disappointed we didn't order drinks. When I asked what her favorite recommendation would be she said " I've been here for 10 years it's all good" Then I was told the soup would take to long. Then when we placed our order. She rolled her eyes and said they needed the table in an hour and we couldn't order apps, salad, diner. She was so mean I actually cried. We left called Muse up the road and had the best welcoming service, best food, best atmosphere . I'll never ever EVER go back to Ross's.

This was an excellent choice for lunch. Haven't been here for dinner but would expect the same. The service was excellent. Very thoughtful waiter. Attentive without being overbearing. Great location in town with good view. Prices were quite reasonable for in Season in P'Town. We will definitely return. Caesar salad looked delicious.

Not a year goes by that I don't go to Ross'. This year was a wedding on the balcony overlooking the harbor and a feast afterward. From the freshest fish to rack of lamb, this restaurant is #1. Will continue to go every time I am in Provincetown.
