“Simple, squeaky clean, deck on the water”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

Very nice small room, just off Ptown's bustling main drag but a world away. Nice shared deck, waves lapping to lull you to sleep. Lousy coffee, but you can brave the surly staff at Joe's across the street for that.

We had one of the upper deck rooms (number 5) and it was great. Double aspect views from the room over the bay and looking down the beach - simply fantastic "good morning" views, and a great spot to watch the sun set with a glass of wine.
Room was a fair size, had a fridge and two very comfy arm chairs, together with separate table and chairs on the deck.
Zero road noise as other buildings separate the rooms from the road.
Rooms below had a larger deck, but we were happy with being on the top floor (of two) - no one walking above you.
Very continently situated, easy walking to shops bars bike rental etc etc.
Clean and well maintained property.
Very happy to recommend this great place.

Room Tip: Room 5 was great, but they all look directly onto the water. I imagine room 2 (of 3) on the lower de...

My husband and I stayed for a few days prior to Memorial Day. We booked this based on reviews from Trip Advisor. We were nervous about the location being on "Commercial Street" --- we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located behind buildings on Commercial Street and is truly quiet, peaceful and a wonderful place to relax. I loved the little touches --- a cute glass candy dish was located on one of the dressers to "hold" the hotel key! If you are looking for a clean, well cared for property with great views (right on the water) --- this is the place for you. The close location to everything was a great bonus! We both enjoyed the shared deck --- great opportunity to interact with other guests. We already put in our reservations for next year!

Beautiful apartment with a stunning view of the ocean. The living room is large and comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. You will be near the centre of town - aperfect location. Lovely people and even parking!

We have been going to Dyer's Beach House for several years, and were very saddened by Mary's passing. However, her daughter has done a great job taking the reins, and were surprised at the updating of the rooms. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms have been totally overhauled. Each room has a private deck overlooking the bay, and while the hotel is in the center of town, it is quiet, with easy access to the beach. Airconditioning is good. Only complaint would be the new blinds don't keep sunrise out of the room, but although I woke early, I immediately fell back asleep due to the comfortable beds and pillows. WIFI made my life pleasant, as did Billy, who works there and provided friendly assistance for whatever. He is part of the overall improvement in the facility. We look forward to our stay at this establishment each and every summer.

We've been making our summer visits here for many years and it just keeps getting better. The rooms are still immaculately maintained and cleaned, the staff remains perpetually personable and helpful and the waterfront view and central location are unsurpassed in Provincetown. Phone calls with information and requests to the proprietors always get prompt and cheerful responses. The included wifi, frig, flower bedecked exteriors, adjacent beach and abundant towels in the cupboard under the sink are always appreciated. We reserve for the following summer before departing and always eagerly anticipate our visits to the seaside charm and attentive hospitality at Dyer's Beach House. We shall return.

When we booked our room sight unseen having only seen photos on their website, we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival to Dyer's beach house. Secluded, private and tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet only steps from the action on Commercial Street; this place offers it all. Our room was basically IN the water during high tide and we couldn't have been more pleased with the view. The room is quaint and comfortable as we dreamed a beach house would be, but still felt crisp and clean. Steps away is a secluded beach surrounded in a well manicured garden. A must try the next time you visit Ptown looking for some personal space and peace. We will be back!

Room Tip: We stayed upstairs, there are only 5 rooms.
