“Two Thumbs Up for the Norse Wall House”
Reviewed 27 September 2009

I just finished a stay at the Norse Wall House in Provincetown, MA. The accommodations were perfect. I stayed in the Lighthouse which was spacious and comfortable. The location is unbeatable; quiet, but just minutes away from the center of town and all the attractions. Situated in the West End, you are steps away from the Joe (for morining coffee), Relish (for lunch or a cupcake), and Perry's (for wine, etc.). And, you are a 5 minute bike ride to the beach. The hosts Richard and Peter are wonderful; very accommodating and friendly. I would not hesitate recommending this guesthouse to anyone. I plan on staying there again.

Northshore of Boston

What a great find. The owners have paid attention to every last detail. We live on the Northshore of Boston and are last minute bookings to the Cape for a few day escapes. We really felt for the first time that week could image ourselves staying beyond 3 days if we had a suite (which by the way was the smallest of their rooms) like they provided us. The kitchen was well equipped. Although the room had AC, we opted for the priceless cross breeze which the many windows provided. We also had a nice deck and table and chairs when we felt we wanted to sit outside. The room also had a TV and DVD. There was also the added bookselve library for our enjoyment. The Suite is a short walk into the Centre of town. We drove in and where it is situated was easy to get to and leave without any people traffic hassle. I had to be connected to the Internet while there and they have a very strong signal. We normally stay in the heart of town, this being a couple of short blocks out gave us a whole new area to enjoy. If the stay had been longer, we could have gone to the many great resturants in this part of town. But..shhhh...don't tell anyone, we want to be able to book a room at the last moment........

  • Liked — Great Room to experience the Cape
  • Disliked — It is soooo special when word gets out, we won't be able to get a room anymore.....

Richard and Peter are excellent hosts and provide clean and bright accommodations. The care they take of their flowers and grounds is unsurpassed. They really enjoy being B&B owners and it shows. The location is wonderful for a short walk into town or a long walk to the beach. When you come to Ptown this is the place to stay.

The NWH is in the perfect location, has beautiful views, is tastefully decorated, and contains everything you need for a weekend or a long stay. The original artwork and careful renovation showed the care that the owners put into this place. We have travelled extensively, and rarely does one find a place that combines such quality with a very relaxed and friendly experience. Give up therapy, all you need is the Norse Wall House!

We stayed in Provincetown for 4 days in May 2006. We were disappointed with our accommodation at Norse Wall House. It all sounded so good on the internet. We were in the Garden Apartment (and paid $125 per night). The furniture was drab, old and nothing matched. The kitchen was so small it was almost impossible to find space to prepare food. There were various utensils and equipment, but all they did was clutter what little workspace there was. The DVD player was perched precariously on top of the TV and plugged in through wires in the front of the TV. Perhaps we shouldnt expect too much for the price. It could have looked so much more inviting with some care and attention. The feeling I got was that this was simply about profit, not about making guests feel welcome and cosy. On the plus side, it was relatively close to the town centre and seafront.
