“The baked goods are worth the stay alone!!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

We had a lovely time at Seaglass Inn. The service is exceptional, the pool is heated to 85 degrees, the rooms are new and sparkling clean, and the resort is very quiet. What more could you ask for?? We didn't know about the shuttle to Commercial Street until our last day but, nevertheless, the main area of town is an easy 15 minute walk anyway. The only trouble we had was spotty internet connections (my fault for trying to do work while on vacation) but I'm told we were the only ones experiencing difficulty. We highly recommend this resort.

My partner and I and my two children just returned from Family Week. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. My kids wanted hot chocolate and they made sure they had some there the next day. The grounds are beautiful and the view from our 2nd story veranda overlooking the pool was stunning. Very well maintained inside and out. Pool was very clean and had lots of floats available for the kids to use. We were impressed that every day the staff was not only maintaining the grounds, but also making improvements each day. Room was very clean, updated, and a good size. The electric car that provided complimentary transfers to and from town was very helpful. We booked next year's trip before we left! Thank you to everyone at the Inn :)

Room Tip: Second story rooms overlooking the pool are quiet and have the best view.

My wife and I were recently married in Provincetown, MA. Our families were traveling from Virginia and New Jersey to join us (ages 7 weeks to 84 years)..we needed a place to accommodate everyone that was close to the center of town, clean and kid-friendly. The Seaglass Inn and Spa was that and more. The rooms and price were great....they had daily activities for everyone to enjoy (movie night, morning yoga, bonfires, ice cream socials, etc), complimentary breakfast and a pool to relax in. Their shuttle into town was an added bonus...and parking was free and not a problem (parking and driving in P-town is not easy). The view was great, beaches close by and a quick shuttle or leisurely walk through the beautiful West End drops you in the heart of Commercial Street..Added bonus.......excellent staff and onsite owners. Everyone is asking if we are having a 1 year anniversary party so they can book the Seaglass ahead of time... Sue and Carol

This our 15th summer stay at this property. It is a summer tradition for our two daughters. While we have always enjoyed our stays here, the last two years, under the new owners, has brought an energized transformation to the resort experience. From the new and luxurious mattresses and linens, to the completely renovated wing of rooms we are currently staying in, excellence is the goal here and they are achieving it. The transformation continues poolside with sleek new lounges and chairs. Breakfast has expanded as well and includes the usual coffees and teas and expands to include freshly baked goods, yogurts, fruit, juices, granola bars and eggs. An ample start for a day at the beach.

The most striking facet of the Sea Glass Inn and Spa is the seamless air of hospitality and graciousness that pervades the property. The staff are professional and solicitous reflecting the genuine hospitality of the owners.

Yes, I am a fan. If you are looking for an elegantly updated property, close to the beach and in walking distance to town, The Sea Glass Inn and Spa may well be the vacation spot for your own tradition. It will continue to be a tradition for us!

The Seaglass Inn is undergoing a major renovation and I am happy to report that this hotel is well worth the trip. The location at the end of Ptown on a hill is ideal. Close to beaches and town. Peaceful setting with a pool. Nadine and Faith are the new owners and they are refurbishing and renovating this hotel. They are doing a fantastic job and i can't wait to see this place next year.

We have come to this hotel every summer for ten years but stopped a few years ago because it was run down. I read that new owners were refurbishing the hotel and we took a chance and booked a room for a week. We are very happy with the new rooms and improvements to the grounds.

The renovated rooms are fabulous. The King bed room has a desk and sitting table. The room with 2 queen beds did not sitting room so Nadine switched us to the King bed room.
The renovated rooms have new carpeting and beds, freshly painted walls, new lighting and furniture that includes a fireplace. Best of all the bathrooms were totally redone. Modern sink and tiled floored and walls.

The staff is friendly and tries to accommodate the guests. The main office was renovated. They serve breakfast continental style with a twist. Faith bakes the goodies herself. The pool area has new lounge chairs and tables. The hotel grounds has Adirondack Chairs sprinkled around the property and a gas bonfire sitting area. They have golf carts that shuttle you in to town. The staff tries to accommodate you and is friendly.

Work on the spa is ongoing but that does not distract from the beauty of this hotel. They are building a spa where massages and manicures will be available. The spa is not completed yet. I needed a massage and the owners, Nadine and Faith, arranged for Christina, the Rikkei Master, to give us massages in our room. Christina happily brought her massage table to our room where she proceeded to give me the best massage I ever had. It was for 2 hours and I quickly booked another one for tomorrow. My wife had a 90 minute massage in the room and raved about the massage too.

I will definitely return next year. The renovations will continue during the off season and I can not wait to see the new additions next summer.

This hotel and location is a great relaxed property that has been upgraded. I expect to return here every summer for the foreseeable future.

Room Tip: ask for a renovated room

Though the years we have stayed in lots of Hotels and B&Bs in PTown and this place is great. Even if it is not in the heart of the town, it is only a 15-20min. walk to town. The rooms are clean, and large. The staff could not be any nicer. We just found out today that they are building a Spa on the premisses, and opening in a few weeks. The pool area is fantastic! It is a very large with plenty of seating, and every hr in the afternoon they take orders for sandwiches and wraps, and bring it out to the pool area for you. In the morning the office has a wonderful Continental Breakfast with yogurt, cereal, coffee etc; who needs to eat eggs and pancakes every morning - too fattening.
All and all, you should give this place a second look.

Well we booked a room for 7/14/14 thru 7/17/14 and we had stayed at this hotel before when it was known as The Chateau Provincetown. Then the hotel needed to be refreshed since it was rather dated to begin with, but our stay was always nice. This time around we had heard that there was alot of renovations done but we didnt quite expect things to be done half fast. Our room was ok but the bathroom fixtures were the same but all they did was paint the walls and add a new mirror and light fixture. Our ac in our room was leaking onto the carpet and we let housekeeping know that it was leaking and it was taken care of. Then there was the lack of hangers in the closet to hang clothes on. We called the front desk and was told that there should be 8 or so hangers there, yet we told them there were none and that the attitude oh too bad so sad. So I had to go to the hardware store in town to buy hangers. I was not happy about it. Then there is the issue with the WIFI in this place. Last year they had "innflux" and it worked well. This time around they had "Seaglass Public" and I can tell ya it only worked half the time. Its rather limited and painfully slow. So we decided to stay another night and left on Friday of that week. Good thing we left on Friday because the pool was out of action since the glass lens for the light in the pool came off and electrified the water and fried a pool noodle. This happened at night and the pool was locked down. They had to drain the pool and get the glass out of the bottom of the pool and then have the water trucked in to refill it. This is a salt water pool I might add and when the guys were adding the salt the pool water turned a vibrant green color. We decided no pool, no more money they will get from us. Now it is my understanding that the manager is not on premises and in NY so if one has an issue and you want to talk to a manager your outta luck. Pat was the manager, but no longer. She ran the place well and it was a big mistake to take her out of that role. Also if you have groundskeepers on site, let them to their jobs. The other thing friends of ours stayed there the same time and they were awoken at 7 am to drilling and construction work under their rooms since they were finally getting around to build the "spa" part of the place. Needless to say not many happy customers in that building. Our friends told the front desk either they move them to another room or they are leaving. They were assured that the construction wont begin until 10 am the next day. Which I might add started right at 10 am. Construction should be done off season and when one pays good money to go on a vacation, the last thing they want to hear at the pool is noise like that.
Now the other thing I have to chat about is the furnature...it doesnt make any kind of sense at all for the different sized rooms. And putting a faux fireplace in some rooms meant that there wasnt room for a bureau for storage. Or having the same sized fridge in all the rooms, not these small dinky dorm fridges in some rooms. Luckily in our room we had a good sized fridge.
We will book again next year, but if the kinks are not worked out it will be our last year going to this hotel. Also they used to have a generous discount of 50% off and we took advantage of it when it came up in December. Last December was 30% off to book early. This hotel is not a place if you dont like to walk to downtown...its a hike to and from.

Dear Maineman,
We understand your displeasure with the issues you encountered while staying at the Seaglass Inn. Your feedback is very important to us and we look forward to making all the necessary changes that will continue to bring our establishment up to common standards. We are pouring a lot of energy and effort into polishing our diamond in the rough and have upgraded 90% of the property with new carpets, linens, beds, drapery, and furniture. In the last week, we experienced an unfortunate event with our pool and followed hospitality standard operating procedure by draining and refilling our pool.Within 24 hours of the incident the pool was up and running. When issues like this arise, our team of professionals including members of the original staff, are empowered to resolve any and all situations. We are proud to say they are very accomplished and in the case of the pool issue, were able to resolve it quickly and with the best interest of our guests in mind. We value your patronage and hope you will continue to stay with us and experience the continued development of this very special property.
Best regards,
Nadine
