The homestay is about 12km outside of Chiang Rai, and is set in wonderful countryside. This was our first accommodation outside of a town or city in 3 weeks of touring Thailand and it was great to be able to enjoy the peace and quiet. The owners are very friendly people, happy to chat and help with any advice on getting out and about. The rooms are spacious although a bit spartan, functional rather than comfortable, and the bathrooms nice and modern with good hot showers. We did feel that the towels and bed linen were getting towards the end of their lifespan and could maybe do with updating. Each room has its own patio area with a table and seating.
The restaurant at the homestay is really good, serving excellent Thai food at reasonable prices. Friday night is pizza night and they were superb. There are fridges stacked with drinks and goodies like homemade apple pies and chocolate brownies and you are free to help yourself and have things charged to your bill. It was great knowing all this was available when you get back from your day’s activity. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and comprised fresh fruit, cooked eggs with ham & cheese plus a basket of fresh homemade bread. We found it slightly frustrating that they like to get everything closed up fairly soon after dinner completes at 8:00pm which means there’s is nowhere to sit and socialise unless you head back to the rooms. Meeting and chatting with other travellers is a fundamental part of a trip and sitting on the patio outside the room would have caused disturbance to other residents.
There are bicycles and scooters for hire and we had a great day of cycling following a route recommended by the owner. The countryside is really glorious. The homestay can also organise lifts to town, bus station, airport etc.

This homestay place is quite far out of the city of Chiangrai, but it's worth the drive if you're looking for a relaxing stay. We really enjoyed it. The rooms are large and cool, a bit dark but that actually keeps them cool, the bathroom is really spacious and had the best shower we've had in 2 weeks travelling around north Thailand. Hot and with enormous water pressure. The breakfast is indeed great, fresh bread and a great omelet, coffee, tea etc. The white temple is only half an hour away, so you could visit there by motorbike. The nights are cool enough this time of year to sleep without the air conditioning on and there are mosquito screens in front of the windows. It's very quiet at night. The Dutch/Thai couple running this homestay do a great job!

Very nice stay, with a lot of recommendations of the owners.
The rooms are spacious and clean.
The food served is very good, recommended.
We rented some scooters from them to explore the region with some routes we were provided with. Absolutely worth to do is, 2 of our best days in Thailand.
Very friendly people and open to discuss all topics concerning the region and country.

I enjoyed the friendly atmos, the peaceful location, the beautiful views over the paddy fields to the tree clad hills. Breakfast was first class, bread, jam, fruit, cereal and sweet potato. Very nourishing and in good quantity as well. Supper was always excellent and a good variety of Thai food and Western if you desired. They understand about vegan and vegetarian preferences and catered for me in that respect. The food was brought direct to the chalet and I was able to eat in peace with a breathtaking view as a digestif! I understand they make great pizza too over the weekends and if it is even just half as good as the thai cuisine then it should be well worth a try. Thanks guys - excellent stay!

Beautiful location outside of the city. Helpful, friendly hosts who are both excellent cooks! Airport pick-up, bike or motorcycle rentals, lots of biking trails available...even to pet or ride the elephants!

Room tip: All quiet, all on first floor.
