We choose to top off our week in Boston with a trip to the coast- we chose Rockport because of its access from the commuter rail and its abundance of B&B's.

We spent one night at the Tuck Inn in the Cathedral room.
I would recommend a stay at theTuck Inn to anyone planning a trip to Rockport. Scott and Liz were great hosts, the rooms were charming, clean, great breakfast, close to town, close to the rail.

A quick note about Rockport- we were hoping to find a semi-fancy seafood restaurant and/or a bar to watch the Red Sox. Only a few restaurants were open (a Tuesday in October), and Rockport is nearly a dry town (drinks only w/ a meal- no bars). Lots of coffee shops, art studios and beautiful views of the coast.

Tuck Inn is a great place to stay while in Cape Ann and exploring the area. Scott and Liz are wonderful hosts, the nicest couple you would want to meet. The room and surrounding atmosphere was great, the breakfast was excellent. Special is Scott serving the latest baked creation straight from the oven. We will definitely return as we love this area and like to stay in Cape Ann while exploring surrounding towns around and in Boston. In this case, we celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary with great people and great surroundings.

We stayed at the Tuck Inn over Memorial Weekend 2008. The price was very reasonable and we were able to get to Rockport from Boston using the commuter rail. We took our bikes and on Saturdays and Sundays the MBTA put a special carriage on the front of the train for bikes.

When we arrived at the Tuck Inn we were greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome.
For a B&B in a small town we were delighted to find it had a pool which was quiet and clean.

Rockport is a delightful place to spend a weekend and the Tuck Inn is the ONLY place to stay as far as we are concerned. The breakfast is out of this world and the rooms are very tastefully decorated. The whole place has a very relaxed, family atmosphere.
Highly recommended!

Visited for one evening between a visit to Portland and Boston. Had never been to Rockport and wanted to find a nice place to stay. Liz and Scott were so accommodating. Not much to do in Rockport in March (we were a week early to season), but some of the stores on the waterfront were open, and Scott recommended some wonderful restaurants in Gloucester including Latitude 43 (great ambience and seafood). Room was simple but elegant. What really makes this place a great stay is the hospitality. Breakfast was wonderful! Great stay and definitely would return. We even got to see this town blanketed in snow during our visit.

We had the good fortune to choose the Tuck Inn to use as our Cape Ann base when hosting our friends from Slovenia. Besides offering an extremely comfortable and well-maintained inn, a delicious breakfast with incredible home-baked goodies, and an excellent location for all attractions, there are no more friendly and accommodating hosts than Scott and Liz. They make the Tuck Inn feel like home and treat their guests like good friends. Most people wish their home country to be welcoming and hospitable to first-time visitors from other lands, and Scott and Liz could not have been better hosts nor made a better first impression of America for our guests. Many thanks, and we look forward to returning.
