Pleasant Street Inn

Found this Inn online and wasn't sure what to expect, but it was even better than the photos depicted. Perfect location, beautiful grounds, extra clean and spacious rooms, and quaint common spaces. We were on the 3rd floor, which was quiet considering the # of rooms in the main house. The stairs are a little steep going from the 2nd to the 3rd floor. Ok, they're VERY steep, but there's a 2nd, outside stairway as an alternative, which also offered private access to the floor since we returned quite late in the evening. We were promptly greeted upon our arrival and treated to a nice, sit-down breakfast the next morning. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely return when in Rockport again.

My wife and I spent a lovely overnight at the Pleasant Street Inn on Sunday and we had a wonderful time. The location is at the top on the hill and is just far enough away from town for it to give us the quiet we desired.

We stayed in room #8 which had its own separate entrance and an in-room whirlpool tub for two. The room had a refrigerator and eall-mounted flat screen tv and white wicker furnishings were nice. My only complaint is that the bed itself was not very comfortable. Adding a feather bed or similar would really make a difference.

The grounds were so lovely and we spent time relaxing in the rocking chairs on the front porch and even played a game at the table later that afternoon. The innkeeper, Lynne, came out to chat with us and ask is if we needed anything which was nice.

The main inn rooms were lovely. Beautiful antique furnishings, a sitting area with laptop and printer for guest use and books, etc...for reading. Breakfast was served in the dinjng room and it was pleantiful and delicious. Various cereals, fruit, yogurts, fresh-baked muffins and on our morning Lynne made french toast and sausages.

All in all it was a wonderful time and we look forward to returning again.

Just spent a wonderful New Year's Eve /New Year's day morning with 8 other friends at this charming inn. The location is within walking distance of downtown Rockport. The inn is immaculately clean and all of us enjoyed our quiet rooms. The breakfast was beyond delicious with French toast, peach cobbler, fresh fruit, sausage and muffins! Lynne, the inn keeper, was quietly efficient. She even volunteered to take our group photo on the staircase. We would all recommend this lovely place to gather with friends or family!

Room Tip: Room #1 is the prettiest with a terrific view of the harbor.

We just spent an relaxing two nights at the Pleasant St. Inn. I was surprised at the amount of food we were given at breakfast, I expected continental breakfast which to me would mean pastries. But Lynne put out french toast one morning and eggs the other. The only drawback to our little vacation is there aren't a lot of choices for dinner during the week, most everything is closed.
If we get the chance we will return to the Pleasant St. Inn.

This was our second visit to the Inn. We spent a week there in August and loved it even more than the first time. We had a wonderful room, the first one at the top of the stairs. It is a large room with a comfortable bed and sofa and chairs and a good sized bathroom. Our hosts Lynn and Roger were very friendly without being overbearing. Lynn has just the right touch. The inn is immaculately clean and the breakfasts are excellent. One of the best features is the front porch. It is a great place to sit in the morning, in the afternoon when you are tired out after a long day of sightseeing and in the evening after dinner. The location is great. You can walk to town and the beaches. We hope to go back next year.

Our family stayed here for over a week in both the inn rooms and the cottage. Everything was excellent. Lynn and Roger were friendly and accommodating and made our stay memorable. The cottage had everything we needed and provided relaxing and comfortable accommodations for us while we explored Cape Ann. We walked into town a lot and used the inn's pass to park at Long Beach. There's a safe place for kids to play outside, to include a basketball net and driveway area to ride bikes. We will definitely return and highly recommend this Inn to everyone. Can't say enough good things about our stay.

I have been Rockport many times. Any and have stayed in other B&B's here and there. This one is a winner. We stayed in Room 1&2 here at this very pleasant Inn. The rooms were well appointed and well maintained. Clean and Fresh. The mattress was solid, the towels looked new, the bathrooms modern. The yard and grounds were just beautiful. Breakfast was lovely. Athought they advertise only continental breakfast, we were offered and served fresh eggs and saugage along with fantastic fresh muffins and fruit. The inn keepers are true new englanders. DELIGHTFUL. Do no miss this place. j
Just a couple of long city streets to Bear Skin Neck., up on a hill overlooking the Atlantic.

Room Tip: I think we stayed in the best rooms. Room 1 is a queen with a sofa. room 2 has a twin and a full.
