“Lovely B&B”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014

We were given a warm welcome by the owner. We got the last available room and the next day everything was sold out in advance, so it's clearly a popular place.

The B & B is well maintained and in good English style. One of the oldest houses in town. There is a cozy living room where we sat in the evening. We had what I would call a small apartment on the top floor with two very nice and spacy rooms and a bathroom. It was very clean and lacked nothing. Tea and coffee was available in the room, and we also had access to it in the lounge plus sweets etc.

Included in the price was a great breakfast that could be enjoyed in the dining room or on the terrace.

The host was very attentive throughout our stay and very sweet to recommend good restaurants and pleasant walks around the town and down to the beach.

Rockport is worth a visit. Lovely city.

The only minus was that the internet did not work stably in our room.

Our room was on the expensive side, but we also had a lot of space and the sun, a view of the sea and the surrounding gardens - beautiful and quiet place.

Room Tip: The wi-fi was not stably

I stayed here with a friend on route to an Audubon trip to Maine and New Brunswick. It was so nice, we decided to stay for an additional night at the conclusion of the Audubon trip. The inn keepers are wonderful along with our room (the crow's nest) and breakfast. Restaurants and shops are a short walk away. I would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Excellent value for the price.

This was our first ever experience staying at a B&B and it couldn't have been better! Jan was a great host! We stayed in "Lucy's Room" and it was very comfortable. We had our own mini refrigerator and own bathroom, that included Bathrobes. Keurig Coffee was available in the dining room at all times, as well as port wine and peanuts in the livingroom. Lemonade/Iced Tea and freshly baked cookies were put out in the afternoon and a homemade breakfast was prepared, that melted in your mouth (stuffed french toast, sundried tomato and broccoli frittata). The B&B is close to Rockport's village shops, marina, etc. Great bicycling opportunities as well. We will definitely stay here again!

By all measures; friendly, charming, clean, historically interesting, good food, great ambience, proximity to local sites this is a five star experience. If you like Rockport you couldn't make a better choice.

Rockport (MA)...... first time, late at night, lost. Have to make the call we can not find it. Guess what.. No problem at all. With a bit of help we arrived some hours later and what a welcome. We felt at home the moment we entered this charming B&B. Great hosts, room and breakfast. And what a good spot to explore this beautiful region. If you are lost one day...just call the Addison Choate Inn.

Four of us arrived on a rainy, chilly spring night to cosy rooms. Jan kindly called down to The Blue Lobster, a short drive down the road, to hold the door open for dinner. She also gave us a bottle of wine and some beer since the restaurant does not have a liquor license. The next morning she refused to take payment for the wine or beer and served up a delicious breakfast buffet. One of the rooms was small and unremarkable; the other was larger with a lovely 4 poster bed. Both had luxurious bedding. Had the weather been better we all would've enjoyed walking into town and down to the harbor.

Stayed there for two nights in October. Room was nice and clean. Very local to downtown as well. I do wish the rooms has TV's....although it was okay to watch tv in the den. We'd stay there again on our next trip back, however the Inn keepers have a cat...

Room Tip: any rooms seemed nice
