“Beautiful gardens and walking paths”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

We had a very enjoyable time at the gardens. There were three special exhibits being shown- antique cars, wicked plants and giant bugs(sculptures). The garden plantings were exceptional. We especially enjoyed the water flume(water fall and Lilly pads) and the Wind Mill- and the beautiful plants near it. In addition there is a Garden Cafe and a gift shop.

“Fun Family Atmosphere”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Heritage has come a long way in reaching out to all visitors, young, older, and young at heart. Kids especially love Hidden Hollow; a gem of a place to explore and let kids be kids in a learning and museum environment. Just walking to Hidden Hollow is an adventure in itself. The museum gardens are beautifully maintained with 'off trail' walking paths. The Museum also boasts a cafe for light lunches, a bit on the pricey side but worth it for a special treat. Picnicing is allowed on the grounds if you bring your own.

“Great fun”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

Visiting on Friday when they have family day and while the Big Bugs were there was great. Lots of activities for small kids. Seven, five and two year olds had a blast.

Clean and well kept. Cafe was good. Beautiful grounds. Just a good time. Kids were amazed by the antique cars and even one they could sit in. Will be even better when the carousel re-opens. What happened to the miniature soldiers?

Hi Quinn:
Thank you for your recent visit to and review of Heritage Museums & Gardens. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed yourself during your visit. Regarding the miniature soldiers, they have been in storage as we have had different traveling exhibits on display in recent years. We do get many questions about those soldiers and when one may able to see them again so we appreciate your asking. We can tell you to keep an eye on upcoming exhibits at Heritage in 2015- we hope you will be pleased with some of the exhibits that will be on display next year!
Thank you again for your review- we appreciate it very much!

Sincerely,
Heritage Museums & Gardens

“Family Adventure!”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

A place for the "Whole Family". Antique cars for Dad, Garden for Mom and Sculptures for Kids. The trail to the sculptured insects was fascinating. The antique car exhibit will have you wanting to start your own miniature collection and the garden was filled with variety of blooms. There are even benches for you to rest and enjoy the scenery. Normally in places like this food is a premium, but not here. Food is very reasonable...

“Sandwich Gem”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Sandwich's most beautiful attraction. Gorgeous gardens, first class auto museum and interesting attractions. We returned after many years and were wowed all over again. The traveling exhibit of giant wicker sculptured insects were terrific, and the wicked garden was interesting and clever. Unfortunately, some of the attractions are under renovation, but go anyhow. This is not the kind of place kid's would enjoy, but adults will LOVE it.
