Isaiah Jones Homestead - Sandwich, Cape Cod, MA
June 2008
CapeCodders - Naples, FL
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B last month. From the minute we walked into the front door we felt as if we were visiting good friends at their lovely home. Katherine and Donnie, the Innkeepers, were extremely friendly and accomodating to any of our needs. Not only is the home filled with history, it is beautifully decorated to the last detail. Every morning we were spoiled with delicious breakfasts, the dining room is amazing, the tables are set to perfection. (loved the knife rests!)
I could go on and on about our great experience. If you ever have a chance to visit Sandwich, which by the way is a beautiful town, be sure to stay at the Isaiah Jones, you wíll not regret it.

If you're looking for the perfect B&B experience in
Cape Cod, this is it. We stayed at the Isaiah Jones
for an extended weekend in celebration of our first
wedding anniversary. Our room was spacious and
nicely decorated. It was located in the carriage
house and had a jacuzzi, sitting room and a gas
fireplace. The best part had to be the breakfast.
The table was set with such care down to the crystal
knife holder and cup holders, lace tablecloths, and
fancy napkin rings. The food was incredible - 3
courses with homemade scones, fresh fruit and pancakes
or an omelet. The owners, Donny and Katherine, were incredibly helpful and pleasant - consummate hosts.

The town of Sandwich is a real gem.
We liked it better than Martha's Vineyard and hope it
stays Cape Cod's best kept secret. Overall, we would
recommend this place to everyone.

I had never been to a bed and breakfast, but what a way to start. I think that this place has ruined B&Bs for me, because I cannot imagine anything better. I contacted the owners of Isaiah Jones, who were very accommodating and responsive. We were looking for a room with a Jacuzzi and fireplace and, being foodies, the breakfast had to be something little more than continental. Once we heard about the suite and the 3 course breakfast, we were sold.

The real thing did not dissapoint.

The Inn, itself, is located in a residential, quiet area. But still close to necessities like restaurants, antique shops and the beach.

The suite was spacious and, being in the Carriage House, removed from the main house which afforded the privacy we were looking for for our getaway. There was a refrigerator for our dinner and champagne, a coffee machine and snacks available. There was also some sherry available in the main house. The inn keepers put on an amazing breakfast on New Years Day, with home made muffins, fresh made yogurt parfait and feta omelet.

When there are so many choices on the Cape, this is great for its size, food and location.

Tell Donny and Katherine Helena says hello.

We were looking for a Christmas getaway and this was fantastic. Donnie and Katherine are the consumate hosts. They make you feel welcomed, pampered, and at ease. They have a great realtionship with other businesses and thus when they make your reservations for dinner etc. you once again feel special. The attention to detail was amazing. I don't want to spoil the suprise but you have to go see for yourself. Their accomodations are wonderful. Starting with the robes and slippers, the huge tub with soothing jets, the historical pictures and ambiance offered by a historic cape cod facility. My wife has a considerable number of food allergies and they were able to work around it without compromising the food or oferings one bit. Katherine is an amazing cook. They would ask each day if there was anyhing in the next days offering that might present a problem. The house was decorated for Christmas and we felt very comfortable sitting in the living room having coffeee and tea in the afternoon. (and homemade Biscotti) while we read the paper. They have two great dogs.. Cherie and Katie who you will probably only meet if you ask. The dogs are very friendly and enthusiastic. Don't plan an early lunch becasue you will still be full from breakfast. If you're not sure how to fill your day, just engage them in conservation and ask for directions, ideas etc. In the evening you can sit and relax with complimentary sherry or port, borrow a book from the book shelfs or borrow a video from the dvd selections. Your room has a dvd player. One final note, on Christmas morning when we came down for breakfast there were presents on our table. Again the attention to detail. I encourage you to enjoy the total experience that is offered by Donnie and Katherine at the Isaiah Jones Homestead.

My mom, aunt and I go away every year to the Cape. This year our destination was Sandwich. We had checked out the Isaiah Jones Homestead last year and decided that this is where we wanted to stay. The innkeepers,Donny and Kathryn couldn't be more accomodating. First of all, the rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and with updated plumbing. They offer complimentary coffee and tea, water and soft drinks and port and sherry 24 hours a day. They also serve a 3 course gourmet breakfast which was always different but always delicious. They have every detail covered, right down to reading glasses to look through their books and local menus. We thoroughly enjoyed their company-so much so, that we spent the latter part of an afternoon chatting with them on the back deck. Next time we are in Sandwich, we will definetly stay here.
