“Incredible Italian food right here in Easton!”
Reviewed 11 March 2012

Everytime we go to Porticello's I have to fight with myself to not order the same thing, but the chicken balsimico is too good, so 9 times out of 10, I order it. When I do order something else, I'm never dissapointed, but always go back to the balsamico chicken the next time I'm in.

“Reservations mean nothing”
Reviewed 28 January 2012

We had a 7PM reservation for 2. We were not seated until 8:15 PM, while watching many parties of 4 with reservations at our time and after get seated. It seems if you have a reservation for 2 you might as well not have one. Constantly told for over 1 hour they were settiing our table. Poor excuses for seating those with reservations after us before us. Basically had to get very angry and speak to the manager to get seated at 8:15. In all honestly they did comp us a couple of glasses of wine and 2 dessert drinks, and that was nice. The food was very good. However, we would never go back. We would rather pay for everything and be seated on time, or relatively close. Reservations mean nothing here, so keep that in mind. We live in Easton and often frequent this place and Mario's Trattoria, and would not recommend you go here when they are busy.

“Disasterous service, ok food”
Reviewed 2 December 2011

We were looking for a nice dinner, at a supposed nice restaurant. It took quite a while to be acknowldedged by a server once we got seated....which should have been our first hint. He rattled off the specials (no prices, of course) suggested a very expensive wine, and looked disgusted when we ordered the house wine. The wine was delivered, but orders weren't taken. When he finally returned, he quickly wrote our order down without comment, and disappeared again. The food was delivered about 30 minutes later, by a bus person. The server NEVER came back to check with us...which was too bad, as my food was really cold. I think the frantic server left it in the kitchen just a bit too long. SO, we ate our cold food...with no wine or water, as no one noticed our glasses were all empty! After we finished the ok meal (when does Chicken Marsala come without pasta?? this place...) we sat there looking at our empty plates and glasses for at least 20 more minutes. When the server flitted by...he said...guess you're ok...and disappeared! What does that mean? Finally he came by to clear plates, and he said, are you all set...I told him that it was too bad he never came by to check, as our food was cold, but he never returned. My husband also mentioned that we wanted more drinks, but no one ever asked. He basically said that they were "understaffed", and ran off. After yelling across the room to try to get our check, he brought it, and disappeared again. We will NEVER return. There are plenty of other places, most of which are less expensive, that actually care about their customers.

“great food and service”
Reviewed 23 November 2011

My wife and I (seniors) had a great meal here. I had the salmon and she had the scrod. Both were large portions, served warm, and FRESH. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly. We will definitely return.

“Fine italian dining in an unpretentious yet elegant atmosphere”
Reviewed 19 October 2011

Our first visit to Porticello was excellent from start to finish.....the moment we walked into the cozy living room atmosphere, we were hooked. The staff was professional and courteous, the wine list plentiful, and the food home-made yet elegantly served. Linen table cloths, fresh flowers, and candlelight grace the tabletops; and thus create a comfortable ambiance that is appropriate for any occasion--from a simple night out with family to a more formal celebratory event. We have since returned to Porticello--and have had the same lovely dining experience during each visit. In an area of Easton that is relatively devoid of finer dining venues, Porticello is a welcome respite!
