My husband and I had a great time once again, the hotel was just as we remembered it 4 years ago, but better. The staff at the desk was very friendly and fun upon check in. The room was great overlooking the 2nd hole on the course which is located right across the street. The dinning room staff is new from the last time we were there, but they were all great we recalled Amanda from the past, there are two new guys from our last stay Alan & Nick and they were both great. The food was better than our last time around the we had an incredible breakfast quiche one day and our favorite meal was the Santa Barbara sandwich. My husband also loved the Fish and Chip, 3 nice pieces of fish was more than enough for him.
The golf course was incredible Alan told us the course was recently ranked number 7 in the world for par 3 course. You can see the difference from 4 years ago, the course is in amazing shape, we were told that were some upgrades on the course and you can see the differences in the course if you have played it before. I do have to say the traps were nice and fluffy, I know this because I was in several of them, lol. The course has several meal plans for breakfast and lunch, I would recommend calling ahead for a tee-time and asking about the plans, before you just show up and play.
We only stayed 3 days but it was worth the trip, after golf we used the option to visit the Blue Water hotel right on the beach, it is nice they no longer charge to go use the water hotels. I wouldn't want to stay there though it is very loud, Blue Rock is nice and quiet at night. We grabbed a drink from Jim our first night and sat by the pool, the next night we enjoyed a bottle of wine on our balcony and watched the golfers it was great.
Our check out was very nice and smooth once again very friendly and funny, the entire staffed was great to see once again and meet a few new faces. We will be back next summer if not sooner.

This hotel is located on a golf resort, and the grounds were beautiful. We stayed there and used the beaches at the sister resorts nearby: the Red Jacket and the Blue Water Resorts. The beaches were great and held many activities for the kids. We ate breakfast at the Blue Rock daily and the food was wonderful, and the service great. We lost hot water in the hotel after a big rainstorm, but the problem was corrected within a half hour of our call to the front desk.

This was our 3rd time at th Blue Rock...if anything the service is better, terrific friendly people, gorgeous greens, beautiful flowers catch the eye.....also we love the fact you can use the beaches of the other affiliated hotels...special mention, Alan, who served most of our breakfasts and lunches, was particularly attentive....great vacation spot...highly recommended!

Room Tip: favorite rooms overlook the gardens

Even if you do not golf (my wife, eg.) you will still love this place...the serene, quiet location, large balcony, nice pool, lounge, restaurant, landscaping make the Blue Rock unique for Cape Cod.
the course is a beautiful par 3 (rated #4 in the nation by Golf Magazine) and has streams and a small lake, 4 wooden bridges, tree lined fairways and challenging greens. The pro shop is 1st rate and the staff very very friendly and helpful! The course also doubles as a nature preserve...one night, whilst watching the moon rise from my balcony, overlooking the trees on the second hole, coyotes began to howl..awesome....a reminder that parts of the Cape are still wild.

the following day breakfast special was "cranberry pancakes". Real cranberries are used...from local (ocean spray) bogs...not those horrid dried things...omg...they were spectacular!! if you are lucky you will be waited on by Nick...an exceptionally courteous and professional server.

only 2 minor quibbles....the balcony floors and privacy dividers are in need of a power-washing

secondly, when we checked out, the desk clerk never asked if we enjoyed our stay or invited us to return soon...that sort of banter you expect at checkout...disappointing given how every other encounter we had with hotel staff, housekeeping and maintenance and, especially, bartender, was characterized by exceptional friendliness.

btw, we do plan to return every year.

Room Tip: balcony is better view than patio which is sunken

Just got back from a weekend here - I did the Stay and Play Package and added an additional night. This was a surprise for my boyfriend (the golfer) so I was going on reviews and hoping for the best. The course is GREAT!! It is good for the beginner and the experienced. since the course is in a neighborhood you do zig zag around but it is ok. You don't need a cart since the course is Par 3.

The hotel was clean and check in was a breeze. The reviews stated to stay on the poolside...I wouldn't recommend this. The pool side is also next to the bar so at times it got noisy and instead of picking up a chair and moving it - people would drrrrrraaaaaag it.

There were a few things that need improvement....1) They need to tell you when you book that your credit card will be charged for one night. This isn't a big deal but it should be stated. 2) We asked the front desk for recommendations on where to dine and he handed us a map and said everyplace is good. We know that isn't true. But I can tell you Skippers was fantastic...clam chowder and supreme lobster roll. 3) Breakfast before teeing off...we got there over an hour before our tee time and we missed our tee time. Our breakfast came out 5 minutes before we were to tee off. We were told they had 2 cooks for about 75 people....a group of 50 all came in together and that was the end of being on time for the day. Luckily the Starter put us right on after asking a group if they didn't mind waiting - we were only a twosome and didn't hold them up.

The hotel/course is very quiet and we had a relaxing weekend. We also know to play 2 days instead of 1. I am looking forward to our next time back.

Another plus of staying here is their sister properties. We visited a couple and got out to walk on the beach. The other properties are beachfront and private. So if you stay at a sister property then you can use the amenities of the others.

This was the best three-day mini-vacation we ever had.
The friendliness of the staff...Kevin, Alan. Pat and all the others whose names we didn't catch, made us feel right at home. The other guests were fun to meet and get to know.
Many thanks and all the best to your team during the coming year.

A great, pretty clean, pet friendly hotel. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The grounds are manicured and meticulously clean. The room wasn't as clean as i would like, but nothing to freak out about. It's in a great location in South Yarmouth next to the Blue Rock Golf Course, which is a great par 3 course. During this time of year they are doing maintenance so our game was a more off then usual, but you can see that they take care of it very well. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, nothing spectacular but clean, food was good and service was friendly and quick. Overall, definitely going back and would absolutely tell anyone looking for a pet friendly hotel that is clean and DOES NOT smell like dogs -- go here. Only down side, I don't think the rooms are wireless.
(oh and go to Capt Parker's for dinner. Clam Chowder is the best.)

The best endorsement for a hotel is that you would visit again and that you would recommend it to a friend. Thank you for a great endorsement!...............P.S. The Blue Rock Golf Resort is WiFi throughout. In addition to WiFi, a stay at the Blue Rock provides full privileges at any of our other 4 ocean front resorts. Thank You again.
