We stayed at the Captain Farris House because we were attending a Strollathon for Rett Syndrome and our Granddaughter, Bella, in South Yarmouth. Looking for a place to stay for this event, my sister in law came upon this B&B on line. Little did we know that we would find... not only "exceptional accomodations"....but also terrific resident hosts, Howard and Linda. We arrived in the rain and it poured all weekend....but the warmth of the welcome we received made us forget the nasty weather. The B&B is so charming....the rooms immaculate and beautifully decorated with all the special touches and ammenities of a perfect B&B....and lets not forget the breakfasts that were absolutely delicious....created by Howard with special attention to presentation. We were three couples for that weekend and we all came to the same conclusion.....we loved it.....hated to leave.....and will be returning not only for the yearly Strollathon event....but also as a getaway destination during the year. I am a very fussy guest wherever I stay and can honestly say this B&B rates more than and EXCELLENT....a SUPERB would be a better description. Also, since it was pouring we did not have a chance to enjoy the lovely grounds....even in the rain we could see how inviting it would be to sit in the gazebo area to read a book or have some peaceful quiet time. I would recommend The Captain Farris House B&B to anyone who wants to be pampered with surroundings of history....warmth....charm.....and elegance. Cannot wait to return!!

From the moment we walked in and were offered sherry and port, we knew this was a special.place. Two couples each had a suite on the second floor. Large sitting room, one with a working fireplace beautifuuly appointed bedroom and very large bathroom. Ammeities included make up remover wipes with black towel - appreciated by guests and the laundry. Tub had a whirlpool. Robes were on hangers. Good lighting in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and were dressed with beautiful quilts. DVD's available in the lounge on the main floor for use with your own TV. But the best was breakfast. Beatifully prepared, presented and delicious. My husband asked for a plainer meal and got berries without the vanilla yogurt the rest of us got, and poached eggs instead of the Belgium waffles, sausage and poppy seed bread the 3 of us devoured. $388.00 each room for 2 nights mid-week.

Room Tip: ask for rooms on the second floor - no elevator

My husband and I were looking for somewhere romantic to spend our first anniversary. We found that, and so much more! Linda and Howard are so accommodating and friendly, it is honestly very refreshing. From the time we walked in to the time we had to drag ourselves out the door, we had a great time. When we arrived, we were shown around the house and then to our room (The Captain's Quarters). On the bed was a very sweet card for our anniversary from everyone at the B&B, and two chocolate truffles. The room was very clean and cozy and had an amazing two-person jacuzzi!

Breakfasts are prepared fresh daily, and were so delicious! I have Celiac's Disease and Howard was so wonderful in accommodating my dietary restrictions. The first morning, we started with a drunken pair, then we were served a wonderful Eggs Florentine. I was able to have a chocolate chip muffin with the Eggs Florentine, which was so yummy! The second day we were there, we started with melon in a sweet sauce, then I was served a fluffy cheese omelet and sausage kielbasa, while my husband had blueberry stuffed French toast!

While you're there, you have access to the kitchen and complementary sodas and popcorn with a big selection of movies. Also in the afternoon, Linda made cookies one day and brownies the next, which my husband said were delicious! In the late afternoon, there is also Port and Sherry put out for you to help yourself.

There is also an assortment of maps and pamphlets on what to do in the area, which were very helpful. Also, there are a bunch of menus for restaurants in the area which are recommended by Nancy. We ended up eating at the Noble House the first night, which was very, very good, and the night of our anniversary we had dinner at The Oyster Company (which was delicious).

One of the best things about the Captain Farris house was the location. We were able to walk around the neighborhood a little bit and enjoy the weather, but we were also only about an hour and 15 minutes from Provincetown. We took a drive up there and went whale watching with the Dolphin Fleet (which was absolutely spectacular).

The Captain Farris House was definitely a very relaxing place, and we're already thinking about when we can go back!!

My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at the Captain Farris House this past week. The pictures on-line do not even do this B&B justice. It is such a gorgeous bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were amazing. Howard made an egg florentine that was absolutely delicious. We plan on staying there again next summer when we visit Cape Cod again. We would highly, highly recommend this place!!! Loved it there!!

Since we are repeat customers I can say that staying at the Captain Farris House has always been a wonderful experience. We have tried different rooms and have never been disappointed. Our breakfast is always made to perfection and the Staff is extremely nice. We feel as though we are home.

I can't say enough about our visits. You will simply need to book a weekend and see for yourself.

The Captain Farris House is absolutely the best place to stay in Cape Cod, ever. With that said, we've only been to Cape Cod once, but we're certain it MUST be the best. The innkeepers are awesome and they will help you with anything you could ever need. Your privacy and comfort are their biggest concern and even though we're a young couple, we even felt right at home! Nancy also bakes the best cookies and muffins my husband and I have ever had. We will definitely be back for our 1st wedding anniversary, heck, maybe even before then!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Davis Room with the two person jacuzzi, and it was amazing!
