We headed to the Cape with a one night reservation at a different hotel and thought it would be difficult to find a decent, resonably priced hotel for the rest of Fourth of July weekend. After stopping at a restaurant nearby, we decided to call some local hotels and this was the second one we called and they had a cancellation for Saturday and a room for Sunday night. Both nights cost us a little more than $300 dollars which impressed us, because we were expecting rates to be sky high due to the long weekend. We reserved the rooms and were told we were going to have to switch rooms during our stay, which we were okay with. The staff was very accomodating and even switched over our luggage for us, so we could go out and enjoy the day without personally having to move our own luggage. We were happy with both rooms in which we stayed. The beds were extremely comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The location is great, close to Main St. Hyannis and grocery stores are nearby if items are left at home. There is also a fridge in the room to store cold items. Although we did not use the pools, there was an indoor and outdoor pool available. They also offer a continental breakfast which included several cereals, doughnuts, bagels, yogurt, toaster/bread, waffle maker, juice, coffee, and tea. The breakfast area was quite crowded, we seemed to get there just when everyone else was. There are a few restaurants located down the street including the Hearth and Kettle and the Pancake Man which are both open for breakfast. We were surprised to find out that the hotel was also pet friendly, because the rooms showed no evidence of pets at all. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely be back next year!

We were looking for just one night MidCape, and ended up here. There are certainly MANY worse choices in the area. Both indoor and outdoor pools appeared to be clean and well-maintained (we didn't swim), room and bathroom were clean. Bathroom is minuscule (toilet & tub in a closet-sized room; sink just outside and the bathroom door opens into the sink area, so 2 people cannot be using the facilities simultaneously), and although other posters have described it as "dated" I would guess its last update was within the last 15-20 years, and everything works fine. Mattress was firm but cheap (you can feel the springs). Breakfast was a joke (waffles, stale cereal, mini muffins & Hostess donuts, no protein or fruit). Not a place for a lengthy vacation, but a perfectly fine, clean place to sleep for 8 hours.

The hotel was very clean, and everyone there was very helpful. Reasonable rates, and a great value for your dollar. Wonderful continental breakfast was included, in addition to a year round pool and hot tub, which is hard to come by on the Cape. Very pleased with the facility and service.

Firstly let me say I booked the hotel based on the good reviews here, ignore them! read the bad reviews as this are the only accurate ones.

We booked a suite for two nights, after a not so friendly greeting from I guess the owner we were given the keys to our room on the second floor, as we opened the door to staircase the smell just took our breath away, it was a horrible smell like cat wee.. after holding our breath we entered the room which to be fair looked okay apart from the heating being off and the room was freezing(cape cod in winter... very very very cold).. until we noticed the stains on the chairs, the exposed staples on the chairs as if someone with staple gun had attempted to do a self repair, clean but stained bed covers, bed covers way to thin for the weather conditions (20F), Bathroom: Very very small, bath, I know American baths are small(I'm European) but this was extremely small. Second bedroom has no tv and a plug-in oil rad for heat which isn't kid friendly, single glazed windows with no safety locks to keep the kids from opening and jumping out.

The next morning we got up to eat the advertised deluxe breakfast which consisted of bagel's, bread, endermanns do-nuts, no cream cheese or jelly for the bagels/bread. Coffee that was more water then coffee, no fresh juice and a selection of breakfast cereals- If this was the deluxe version I would hate to see the basic version!!!

The indoor swimming pool has no privacy as reception has full ceiling to floor glass windows looking in !! and goes from 3'' to 9'' very quickly and so not kid friendly.

Don't be fooled by the nice pictures of the hotel from the outdoor pool, it is next to the car park, over looked by the petrol station and enclosed by a wire fence.

Do yourself a favour, book a established brand... you don't get any surprises.

This is a nice hotel, with convenient amenities in the room. Pool area very nice, breakfast decent. For the price, it is the best deal on the Cape. Little pub across the street was fun. Nice people. Dinner at the Ocean House, just down the road in Dennis, was outstanding.

All in all, not a bad stay at this property.

I had e-mailed the hotel shortly after I booked via Hotwire, and asked if they could please confirm a non-smoking room for me. I received an e-mail within 24 hours confirming my request.

We arrived at the hotel around 10PM and checked in - no worries, no mention of Hotwire. However, when I opened the door to the room, the smell of stale smoke nearly knocked me over. So, I walked back to the front desk and mentioned that Peter (manager?) had confirmed my request for a non-smoking room ... the clerk seemed a bit perplexed, kind of mumbled something about Hotwire, then said she had 1 non-smoking room left - but, the room had no windows. We took it.

Room 233 had an interesting layout, with 2 doors to the hallway (only one of which had the room # on it). Room had 2 double beds, a mini-fridge, a small round table with two side chairs, a small coffee maker, a dresser / TV stand, plus a full-sized ironing board and iron. The bed we slept in was not a high-end model, but it seemed fairly new and firm/comfortable enough. No odor of smoke, everything looked clean. Toilet and tub were in an EXTREMELY small bathroom, with the sink outside in the main room (have seen very similar layouts in other Cape properties). One-piece tub/shower unit seemed a bit tired. Mini-fridge made some noise, which I could have cured easliy by unplugging it. OK HVAC / ventilation in the room as well.

The pool area looked okay from the lobby, but we were too tired at night and rushed in the AM to check it out. The room came with breakfast, but we didn't eat there since we had breakfast plans with relatives - but, the food (waffles, primarily) smelled pretty good in the lobby area, and the cranberry juice I grabbed from the dispenser on the way out tasted fine.

Definitely okay for a brief stay. Pleasantly surprised overall, particularly after reading earlier reviews of this property.

This is a very nice place with friendly staff. We checked in here in the middle of the night after leaving a nasty spot that we had booked rooms. The rooms here were nice, clean and very comfortable. The continental breakfast had homemade waffles. Would recommend this place to everyone.
