Room outdated by 20 to 30 yrs, leaky sink, hallway smelled of cigarettes, food was ok. Pools were great, beach is right next to hotel, the cleaners did not clean our room well during our stay but the staff is very friendly. Did complain about smoke smell at checkout, the smell started fri we left sat. Many weddings going on while we were there, so my guess is someone from a wedding party smoked in the rooms...might stay here next yr not sure..

As noted in your personal response we were challenged with some smokers in the area during your recent visit. We try to be vigilant when it comes to un authorized smoking in the rooms but as you know not everyone is considerate. We apologize and we encourage you to return and we will assist you in insuring that there is nothing to disturb you. I can assure you that your experience was not the norm.

My husband and I recently stayed first part of May in an ocean view first floor room. Accommodations were excellent. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable.. Breakfast each morning was included in our room price special rate. Wonderful full service meal! Grounds are maintained beautifully. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub because it was still quite cool in early May. We live in Indiana and look forward to possibly returning for a longer visit again in the future.

Room Tip: First Floor ocean view end unit are quieter.

Great Family resort. Amazing location, 2 pools, great service. Rooms are outdated but the view makes up for it. Wonderful outdoor grill, great breakfast. Fun kids Club! Nightly activities planned for families. Highly recommend.

We were on the cape for a sports tournament and needed a place to stay for a larger family. The Red Jacket fit the bill with their "family" rooms. We had 2 rooms, one with 2 twin beds and the other had 2 double beds. It fit our family of 5 perfectly. The resort sits on a nice little patch of beach. It has both an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was nice and had a little bar on the deck. We went to the onsite restaurant for breakfast both mornings and had a good breakfast. The biggest downfall with this place is that it looks run down from the outside and it's even worse when you get into the rooms. The tile in our bathroom was cracked and fallen away in several places. My biggest complaint would be the thin walls. We could hear our neighbors conversations and could hear everything above us. There was a squeaky bed above us that literally seems to squeak every time someone made a move on it (which was literally all night for 2 nights). The beds were not comfortable and covered in some kind of plastic protective sheet. Additionally, one of the twin beds in our room also had a terrible squeak every time my daughter moved. I don't think we'll be back.

We stayed at this place over Memorial Day weekend and we found it to be a really nice place to stay. I wouldn't call it a "resort" but I found it a very charming place for a weekend stay.

The pros:
- Fantastic location - right on the water.
- Very clean, the beach and the facility
- From the people at the front desk to room service, Very attentive staff willing to satisfy your every need
- Rooms come well appointed, not ultra modern, but adequate.
- quiet and peaceful at night despite the fact there were a lot of kids there (thank you parents)

The cons:
- WIFI is very poor, drops all the time.
- Rooms could use an update.

Overall if you plan on using this as a place to stay during your stay in Cape Cod, it is more than acceptable. If you plan on just staying there to just clear you mind, sit on the porch of your room with a good book and a bottle of your favorite beverage while staring at the beautiful scenery this is the place for you.

Stayed 5-18 Great location, super staff, & incredible value. We rented a three bedroom suite for the six of us and enjoyed every minute of it. Fantastic onsite restaurant.
Wake up early and take a walk on the beach or head out after dinner and watch the sunset.

We just stayed this past weekend. We were pleasantly surprised. The resort was much nicer than the website portrayed. The rooms were a bit basic no coffee maker but there was a mini frig. The furniture was outdated. But everything was clean and well maintained. The resort itself looked recently renovated and not at all outdated! The outdoor pools were heated and meticulously clean. The indoor pool was very big and clean as well. We stayed on the river and it was a great view and much more quiet than the beach side. The beach and provided chairs were also clean and we'll maintain ed. The staff was GREAT. Everyone was wonderful and accommodating! We would definitely go back. We went just the two of us but would have no issue taking the kids next time! All and all a great place to stay in Yarmouth!

We are glad that you were able to enjoy some quality time here at the Beach! As you mentioned next time bring the children. Summer at Red Jacket Beach is made for families. Take a look at our website to view all the activities available to children and adults every day in the summer season. A great value for all.
