Being from Boston, my family are really not big "Cape people" as we prefer to just do day trips to Hull and/or Marshfield beaches. We booked this hotel last minute for 2 days based on an invite from friends with kids who were staying that week and we absolutely loved it. Cleanliness is of the outmost importance to me and Room 259 was spotless. In fact, it looked like it had just been re-done, the only exception being the tub, which showed a little wear and tear but was fine for showering. (I wouldn't have given my child a bath in it, but then again I wouldn't do that at any hotel.) The room was bright with a balcony and pool view/partial ocean view. The only flaw with the room was that the TV picture could have been clearer, as our kids wanted to watch TV until they fell asleep at night. There were 2 pools, one indoor (which was small) and one outdoor which was a little bigger. There is also an indoor hot tub next to the indoor pool. Towels and lounge chairs were supplied at the pool and on the beach, which also had sun umbrellas. The beach and sand were gorgeous and clean. They also had daily activities for our kids, ages 7 and 9, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, which are kids loved! There was a band playing at the bar and a magician walking around doing tricks for the kids. The only negative I have is that there wasn't more of a food selection on the premises (we had hot dogs and burgers), It would have been nice if there was a pasta/pizza/steak option for dinner there. Other than that, we cannot say enough about this hotel and defintely hope to stay again next summer! Now there is no need to research a place on the Cape to stay -- we found the perfect spot!

Room Tip: Room 259 appeared to have new carpet and wallpaper and was spotless with a partial ocean and pool vi...

This resort met and exceeded our expectations! I traveled with my husband and our two children (4 and 7 years old). The resort is located directly on a great beach! The sad is gorgeous and the water is nice and calm, also great sea shells! You can use the facilities of the surrounding two red jacket resorts which are great! One is right next door and the other is a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk. The pools are great! Overall, we loved everything about this place and the kids had such a great time! Would definitely recommend this resort!

Room Tip: Room 256 has two full size beds, a good sized mini refrigerator and a great view of the beach and po...

The best feature of this property is the beautiful beach located on the calmer waters of Nantucket Sound. The hotel and amenities are perfect for families with young kids, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean but basic. It would be nice if beds were queen size instead of full. Bathrooms are small. We enjoyed the ocean front bar and grill, loved having water sports located right next door at sister resort, and overall enjoyed our stay.

I'm the middle of three sisters who have been taking a sister's vacation for the last 4 years. The Riviera Beach Resort has been the BEST experience, yet! The staff from the front desk, housekeeping, and on the beach were friendly, professional, and very accommodating. Any request was greeted with a smile and a "Yes"! I was happily surprised to see Bromley Decaf Tea at the coffee/tea table! In all my travels, it is extremely rare to find decaf tea, let alone the brand I love! The room was clean, it had a porch overlooking the pool with a view of the beach. It was quiet and peaceful at night making it a very restful vacation. I had the opportunity to speak with other guests who were all repeat visitors. That says something about this place. I will definitely be back!

Room Tip: We were in Room 150 and I would recommend any of the rooms facing the beach in this building.

Paid $309 a night plus tax which added up to $345 a night for a room with a view of the parking lot! Room opened from the outside and was very old with an out dated tv and tiny bathroom. In addition, it had a misty smell! Pool is tiny and was very crowded with kids so we ended up using the pool over at the Red Jacket resort down the road which was much larger!

Biggest disappointment is that other than white sand, the beach is not much of a beach; no waves, jellyfish and seaweed in the water. We ended up having to drive a half hour every day just to go to a beach with waves in Orleans.

Biggest shocker was they actually charge you a $20 daily resort fee which we did not even know about until we checked into the hotel!

Thank you for your recent review. I am sorry you missed all we have to offer. We are located on a white private sandy beach on the warm waters of Nantucket Sound and we feature activities, great restaurants, bars, indoor and outdoor pools. Our staff has been called the most polite and professional on all of Cape Cod! Please come back and see all we have to offer!

We just returned from three nights at the Riviera; me, my husband, eight year old son and nineteen year old niece. We had an ocean view room and we loved the hotel! The location is great, right on the beach but close to restaurants, shops and mini golf! We enjoyed the beach and the pool at the Riviera as well as the Blue Water pool. When you go to the beach there are employees to help you with chairs and umbrella setup and others to take drink and food orders. They had great activities like a reptile show, dive in movie and decorate and fly a kite. The only drawback was double beds (queen would be much better!), small bathroom with no fan and no coffee maker in the room. They have coffee all the time in the lobby but I need coffee when I wake up! In spite of these small issues, we will definitely return to the Riviera!

Room Tip: I would go for ocean front, rather than ocean view, for my next trip.

My two sisters and I have been taking a few days' vacation the last four summers. We always have a good time, no matter how wonderful or awful the accommodations are. This month we had the pleasure of staying at the Riviera Beach Resort in South Yarmouth, Cape Cod. I cannot say enough about the Red Jacket resort management! Every staff member was courteous and helpful. We were always greeted with a smile. The room was clean and welcoming and the beach was lovely! Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor beach side have easier access to the pool & beach.
