Description: Chef/Proprietor Nancy McPherson has created a rare Cafe ~ a peaceful Oasis that beckons the harried with hospitable staff that welcomes you and cooking that makes you want to come back for more. Large picture windows offer panoramic views of air field activity, birds feeding and flower gardens while the rotating display of local artists’ work freshens the ‘Main Deck’ dining room. Sourcing ingredients locally whenever possible, Nancy puts her touch to familiar classics as well as international and seasonal dishes. Most of her offerings include fresh herbs plucked from the kitchen garden by the door. Pestos and oils extend Cafe herb use into the winter.

“Best Hamburger ever!”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

My best friend and I had watched a TV program a while ago recommending "small out of the way places for lunch". We decided to take a trip to Stow Airport for lunch since her husband used to fly in and out of this airport for over 20 years. The Hamburgers we ordered were super delicious, tasted like rib eye steak, of course we topped them with some extras, like cheese, mushrooms, onions and bacon, yummy! Needlessly to say we skipped supper that day, the portions are generous. This is a fairly small place and the guests next to us were enjoying brunch and told us it was absolutely delicious, they could not finish there portions and on the other side of us the couple raved about the soup and Caesar salad. We had fun watching planes land and take off, a trip down memory lane for my best friend. The staff was very friendly and we received excellent service, Nancy herself came over to find out whether we were happy with our meal. We did not not mind paying a little bit more for such an outstanding hamburger, well worth it! We will definitively return.

“Best breakfast ever!!!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

This place is a bit off the beaten path, however, it's definitely worth the trip! The drive there is beautiful & the restaurant is located at a small airport. Nancy visited with us & gave us lots of insight & information about the area & her restaurant. She is a pleasure to visit with & her restaurant is a beautiful little quaint place. They grow their own herbs in the front of the building & the area is beautifully landscaped. The food is high quality & the breakfast omelet is one of the best, if not THE best I've ever had - all the food was delicious. I will definitely take the drive to go back next time I'm in the area & highly recommend it. Great experience!

“Thank you, thank you!”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Nancy & Don, thank you, thank you for the gracious hospitality and the “farm to table” delicious food. We have been coming to Nancy’s Airfield Café since living in the area, 6+ years. We love the changing fresh menu, friendly/amazing staff and especially you both. Every menu choice selected is wonderful. The “3 seats to the wind” bar just charming and watching the planes is inspiring. The Wings and Wheels, so much fun! They display local art and partner with local providers. The new fresh pizza is a must try, as is the steak and frites, salmon, burgers, eggs benedict, salads, brined chicken, creative libations and wine menu… and our personal “always” the hummus to start. bon appétit
