Le Coq Chantant Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 2 St-Livres B&B and Inns
Reviewed 15 October 2013

We stayed here for one night to be close to the local restaurant hosting our cousin's 60th birthday party. I was blown away by the sheer luxury of the room including complimentary wine, fruit and biscuits. The wonderful hostess spoke good English and was full of local knowledge and where to go in Geneva. OK it's not cheap but well worth the extra spend. The bed was enormous, the bedding so soft and fresh and sleep quality was second to none. The room had a fully equipped kitchen area as well as large TV with English channels. En suite was lovely and so chic. Breakfast was at your pace and cooked to your liking. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B and B.

A superb B&B in beautiful Saint-Livres, so good that we are going back for a 2nd stay! We stayed in the apartment on the top floor, it is spacious, modern, has a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful bathroom with huge bathtub plus shower. We have travelled around Europe a lot and there are not many places like this especially when you factor in Anna and Francis' wonderful hospitality. Breakfast is phenomenal with local and organic produce. Location is great in amongst the vineyards and fields, it's literally halfway between Geneva and Lausanne and there are great views of the Alps and Lake from the large balcony. Stay here if you can!

I cant begin to enumerate why I can recommend this place to other travellers. First of all, this is a b&b but more on the luxurious end. It costs a bit more than what you'd usually pay for a b&b however its so worth it! First of all, the room we stayed in was soooo cozy. The owner payed attention to the comforts! I love the rustic feel and the spacious well appointed bathroom! The breakfast is so good! The owner pays attention to the quality of food she serves; mainly organic and natural produce. Its a good balance between local seasonal fruits and cold cuts. She makes eggs too. 3rd the owner is super helpful. The restaurants she recommends are where she also eats so theyre really good places to eat! Lastly, the village where its located is super charming!!! This place is about 30mins drive to Lausanne. I can highly recommend this place! Tip, choose the room on the 3rd floor with a balcony.
