We arrived on a very cold, blustery evening to warmth and a quiet buzz in the almost full restaurant. Our appetizers and entres (sorry, can't remembe the Italian terms) were excellent and the service was very good. Be aware they dont' have a liquor license, but they support BYO. Our portions were ample to large. The location is a small shopping mall pretty much vacant of atmosphere. But we think the family run establishment with really good food (including home made pastas) makes up for it. I didn't count but estimate it's capacity is 30-36.

While Caffe Paolina has decent food, it is outrageously priced. The service is horrible. Our waitperson never smiled once the whole time we were there. We had to ask for everything; i.e, bread, butter, oil, cheese (no cheese on the table...awful!). Never were we asked how our meal was, and we were the only people in the restaurant. Extremely unattentive. It was not a warm and inviting experience to say the least. Caffe Paolina does not have a liquor license, but you can bring in wine or beer. This was told to us, after we were seated; there was no posting of this on the door.

This is a tiny restaurant in a strip mall, but oh, the food it holds! Paolina is the owner and chef and moved here from southern Italy 11 years ago. Everything on the menu, she assured us, is homemade. To start, I tried the antipasto alla Paolina, which had a surprising (and delicious) kick, and shared a bountiful house salad. Our party of seven had six different entrees, and all earned rave reviews and happily full stomachs. Mine was the day's special of spinach ravioli in primavera sauce. Pure heaven! The decadent cream sauce complemented the vegetables and pasta so well, I couldn't stop eating. No room for dessert for us! I'll save that for another trip. I wish Paolina lived closer to me!
