My wife and I recently stayed here at the recommendation of a friend while in the area for our wedding anniversary. I've stayed at a number of Holiday Inns, as well as at a few of the other hotels located close by in the past and I'd say this property is top of the list. The lobby area was beautifully decorated and the hotel staff was exceptionally friendly even when we arrived late at night. It appeared the hotel was recently renovated throughout which is a great comfort as a first time guest. Our room was eloquently done and very modern feeling. If I could have snuck the bed out the back door I probably would have; my wife is still talking about how comfortable it was. All in all our stay was great. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable, enjoyable, and hassle free stay. I'll be returning in the future for sure.

Nothing to complain about with this holiday inn they really did a good job preparing everything for guests. Except maybe their wifi is slow and can be hard to connect at times. The rooms are one of the best 3 star rooms I have stayed at. Very clean, spacious, with choices of pillow firmness. Very comfortable room which resulted to very good sleep. The staff were very professional. Couldn't write anything more because we stayed for only 1 night. But I definitely recommend this place. One of the better ones of holiday inns that I know.

Dear joseph t,
Thank you for sharing your review of our awarding winning hotel with us recently. Indeed we have a property that’s second to none in the area. As you’ve noted, it certainly could be rated higher than 3 stars’ and we are proud to be a leading property in the area. We underwent a multimillion dollar restoration in 2011 and our team of professionals has kept the hotel looking as immaculate as it did the day of our re-grand opening. We look forward to your next visit to us and hope you have as wonderful 2013.

Excellent service at the Front Desk.

Rooms may look tidy and well kept but linens where not washed along with room not being properly wiped down, disinfected or vacuumed making our sleepover extremely uncomfortable even if we did change our room.

The restaurant had poor service. Only o e waiter who lacked proper etiquette as we had to hunt him down to order from the breakfast menu then beginner g our breakfast with a filthy coffers mug and fork making our dining experience uncomfortable.

Dear jenng128,

Thank you for your most recent comments. We are happy to have confirmation that our front office service delivery met and exceeded your expectations. That said, we have immediately addressed your comments regarding our housekeeping service of your particular room. We have a tremendous amount of pride in our upkeep of our recently renovated hotel and leaving you with a less than ideal impression of us has prompted us to meet with our housekeeping director to address the concerns you’ve serviced. We have made many recent charges in our restaurant which will make the very best dinning experience a standard in Victoria’s Restaurant. We look forward to your next visit to our award winning hotel soon.

We travel to the area each year for the holidays. We price around local hotels for the better deals. This was our first time staying at the Holiday Inn in Tewksbury. We arrived about noon and was allowed an early check-in. The lobby was very nice and clean. Our room was great as well. Clean and cozy. The hotel is 100% smoke free which is great and is pet friendly, also great as we have a dog we travel with. Due to snow we extend our stay for an extra night so we stayed 5 nights. Each night it was quite outside our room and the bed was comfy. The shower was great too. The elevators were also very fast. Each staff member we encounter was very nice. If I had one minor complaint non-food elated it was at check out. A long-long line and there was no express check out option (or if there was one it wasn't posted) Part of the issue was the cast and crew of Shrek the Musical had been staying there too and they were all checking out at the same time. We needed a receipt so I had to wait. The front desk was over-whelmed with how to deal with so many different reservations for the Shrek people that were in various blocks, the staff seemed to be confused as to how to use the computer. It took me about 40 minutes to check out and once up at the counter it went flawless.

As far as the food at the hotel, it was very bad food. During our stay we had three meals there, one of each breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast was free. We had a free coupon. The buffet was so so but it was a free meal so I'll say no more other than I'd never pay for it. Lunch was a club sandwich we go later in the day from the hotel bar and took it to go back to the room. to share. Up until then I didn't think it was possible to mess up a club sandwich but they did. The bread was stale, they never put mayo on the bread and the bacon was very cold. During our stay we passed the lobby Victoria's Restaurant often and it never looked open but when we looked it was open there was just no one ever sitting and eating there. We decided to give it a shot our last night for dinner. After we ate there we knew why it always was empty. The food was very bad (like 3am Denny's bad) and so over priced. Our food tasted like it had been frozen and warmed up in a microwave. My shrimp had no taste, the pasta it came with was over cooked and the sauce tasted a bit off. My wife got scallops which had clearly been reheated and were very dry and her carrot veggies were solid as a rock and also very dry. The salads had stale lettuce. The amount they charge for dinner meals there is atrocious. It is no wonder why the place was never busy. We did tell our server who was very nice the whole time the food was not very good but it was near 10pm and she said the manager was not available but we could talk to someone the next day. We just paid the bill. rather than bother her. We decided to let it go and just chalk it up to a bad meal and know better next time.

To summarize we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it, just avoid eating there. We loved the location and the room. The staff was all very nice. We would never eat there again though. With a few restaurants just down the road there are other options. Overall the hotel was 5 stars, food 1 star!

We were visiting family for the holidays and this hotel was centrally located. Very convenient. Nice clean room. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Quiet. There is a restaurant there but we only did coffee on Christmas morning. We'd definitely stay there again.
