The lighthouse is a must see for families with young kids! We had a great time with our little ones running to the base and seeing the ocean behind it!

Our first time touring a light house and it was spectacular. We loved it. The oldest one in the Cape and still well maintained. Excellent informative staff. The view from the top just amazing. You need to climb up and that in itself was awesome. It's only $ 6.00 so very worth it.

Great trip up he lighthouse, there are 69 steps but it's quite an easy climb. Very interesting talk before going up on the history of the lighthouse. Then a talk by a lady at the top on the working of the lighthouse. Brilliant views, there is also a gift shop on site

The oldest lighthouse on the Cape, so we were not sure what conditions to expect. The staff does a good job with the guided tour, providing a short history of the lighthouse, and you can go all the way to the top for a spectacular view...as long as you can briefly put up with a spiral staircase, tall steps and a cramped stairwell. Today a much smaller energy efficient LED light has replaced the larger traditional Fresnel lens. A replica of what the original lens looked like can be found on display as well as in the movie that is screened in the gift shop. A highly recommended experience.

Although this is an 1850's replacement of the original 1797 structure, Highland Light has an interesting history and sits in a beautiful location. The tours guides were knowledgeable and added shared a personal/local perspective that really enhanced our visit. The attached exhibit is meager, but views from the top are awesome.
