I was expecting typical Cape Cod decorating but discovered Buddhas , wind chimes, Koi filled ponds and water gardens, heated floors, antiques and decorative artifacts from around the world. Definitely a different style but still warm and adventurous. Since The Sandpiper is out of the way it seemed the beaches and pathways were ours alone. Yummy food and balcony for snacking, sipping wine and catching nature at its best especially in the Fall.

I've stayed at the Sandpiper for weekend getaways several times in the past 2 years. The bedrooms in the separate wing of the house offer privacy and the fountain outside the sliding door is very soothing. The house has many windows, but in winter it's warm thanks to radiant-heated floors. Fresh breezes from the Bay waft through the home in spring and summer, so air conditioning wasn't needed.
In spring and summer the coy pond is so very peaceful, with a bench for relaxing and meditating while overlooking the beautiful gardens.
Breakfasts are homemade and my special diet was accommodated.
Jo Anne and Peter Yaremko were very helpful in recommending special attractions, restaurants and sights to see on the Cape. At the same time they were very respectful of my privacy.
There are many reasons why I return to the Sandpiper--the atmosphere is very peaceful, the home exquisite, breakfasts delicious and the hosts outstanding!

My husband and I had an absolutely lovely time at this place - Breakfast was delicious and our accomodations were beautiful. We spent a wonderful time at the Sandpiper - The Inn Keepers could not do enough for us - I have told all of my friends about this great "FIND'.

For $300 per night, we were expecting a trophy house. We were shocked to find a basement room with a cement floor, no TV with the hallway connecting to their main living space, which meant little privacy.
Everything was a cut below with leftover bedding and not a thought to servicing the room daily. The breakfast, however, was lovely.
We booked 5 nights but only stayed 2. We found a nicer inn for $100 less per night in Wellfleet but we weren't left off the hook for the balance due for the remaining nights at Sandpiper. As a matter of fact, the deposit policy was rigorous with 50% up front. I have a feeling they have pissed off guests before.
The Yaremkos would do better if they charged half the rate. I hope they get a clue.

This is the first negative comment we have ever had during the years we’ve hosted guests from around the world -- France, Australia, Canada, and on. So we feel compelled to respond. The Sandpiper IS a $2+ million trophy house, designed by one of the Cape's foremost architects and one of the first homes on the Cape to feature custom concrete floors with radiant heat. The suite is not in the basement, but forms the third of a five-level contemporary. The Sandpiper is a retreat, not a place to rent a bed, hence no TV. That "leftover bedding" is antique fruitwood furniture with brand new bedding. And no, B&B rooms are not routinely serviced daily – hotel rooms are. This couple said nothing negative about their accommodations when they departed -- citing dissatisfaction with a painting class as the reason -- and we even extended a full credit to them for a future stay.
